Edyta Gorniak , Covergirl on Playboy

13.02.06, 21:56
This sounds interesting... she was and still is my favourite and the most
talented vocalist in Poland.. she is phenomenal... She has stated time and
time again in the past that she would not entertain exotic / erotic pic
session with Playboy...

I guess big bucks have a way of dismatling your simmering desires... or have
I got it all wrong?

I don't thing that it's big bucks considering what she takes for a concert
(worth every penny I might add) - It's probably because she's married now. Her
husband's a nice guy, though, I've met him.

Those photos were not particularly more raunchy than something you might see
printed in Hello, by the way.

I wish she would stick to singing.

I really do not see the point of such talented singers like Carey, Gorniak,
showing their 'assets' off to whoevre will pay them....

The point is to enable easier masturbation on the part of teenagers. If you
didn't know that before, you know now.

LOL... you guys are just funny... what does mastabation have to do w/
Playboy... this to me is soft stuff... To my recollection, there were more
elaborate magz for that purpose , like the Cats and all...

But seriously, what went down for her to decide on this project? On the good
side, I like her voluptious body though... has better curves, better design
    than a ferrari testerossa!!!

I heard about that one, too.

But please bear in mind I said TEENAGERS. It's axiomatic that a teenager will
gratify himself manually over the encyclopedia britannica if nothing stronger
    is available.

Of course, like any addiction, you need an increasingly stronger fix over time.

Now excuse me while I go and pull my spoon out of my coffee.

is she ( Ms Gorniak) a short person? She seems short but I can't be 100% sure

    that's for sure.
  • nasza_maggie 15.02.06, 00:15
I have no idea. Allegedly she is half-gypsy. To be honest Kylie, I prefer to
listen, rather than to look at her. Although she did mess up the Polish
national anthem during the last world cup, but the she was allegedly after a
big drinking binge on the plane with Kwachu, and then she allegedly was
pregnant with his kid, and lost her voice, she went on to have an op on her

    Varsovian,

Now I understand your concerns, but to say this is dumb post is a little to
overstretched... you see, this forum discusses about anything and everything,
contemporarly and otherwise. I understand, as a woman.. you find it hard or is
it gelousy to see all the pics and hails for Ms. Gorniak. Now if you have a
bone to crack on that, then consult with your maker... He decides who possess
beauty and who goes without.. which I presume is the main issue here.

And again, food for the thought.. ever wondered why playboy and other soft P
marganizines make so much money? This is the man's world... this is what we
enjoy watching and looking @... just like you enjoy shopping all day long...
so, this niche industry has got a large client-base... who have expressed their
views as to Gorniak's photos and all...

Now, to all... Could someone, please give me some contact info for this
chick... or when she'll be signing some latest CD's... I just can't just sleep
    @ night!!!

I decided to download a couple of songs by E. Gorniak. One of them
was "szyby", "niebo to my" and "hang on your heart".
I think she does have a really nice voice but I wonder who writes her lyrics in
English. I am not sure about you but I still don't know what she means by "hang
on your heart": "hang on TO your heart?", "Hang on my sweetheart?", "Hang it ON
    your heart"?
    Ane ideas?
  • estratos 16.02.06, 00:49
haha...it's "HOLD ON YOUR HEART" big_grin
I think you have a really poor copy of that song tongue_out

For more FREE songs visit download.com/edyta - Impossible is great! And
"When you come back to me" rocks! smile

And here is the rest o the lyrics to "Hold on your heart":
    What's another waiting day
You can smile and find a way
To decide that she forgot to call
'Cause you know she's high flying now
And you know that time disallows

How to paint it I don't know
Colour in I love you so
Get the wind to whisper on the breeze
And to say that I'll still be here
Even though I can't dry your tears
Guess I'll wait for time to mend
When you figured what she's trying to say

So baby get a hold on your heart
You'd better hold on your heart
'Cause you're about to know how it feels
    To be broken apart

    Will it all be history
Will there be a time for me
Left to face the shadows on the wall
Telling me the sun is going down
And you know that leaves are turning brown
But I guess I'll still be here
When she's found the time to call it a day

So baby get a hold on your heart
You'd better hold on your heart
Because you see I know how it feels
    To be broken apart

Like a bird without a song
    I was playing apart
But I was hoping on all over
You would see where to stay

    And hold on your heart
You'd better hold on your heart
'Cause you're about to know how it feels
    To be broken apart

    Oooh
You'd better hold on your heart
  • kylie1 16.02.06, 01:10
sorry, you are right, it was "hold on your heart"
    What does it mean????

The same as "listen to your heart", "follow you heart", "do what your heart

    Sounds strange to me...

Mabye this phrase is something like: "Get a hold on your heart and don't just
    give it to just anyone"?
  • estratos 16.02.06, 02:42
    My mistake:

"Hold on your heart" means something like: "control your feelings/emotions".
I've just made a mistake because "hold on" means something completely different.
And "hold on your heart" is a phrase. smile

Here is a Polish translation for you of this song. If that's what it's supposed

No masterpieces, FYI, just comments. If you want a more elaborate one, her goes.

I first came into contact with Ms. Gorniak's work on her CD "Dotyk". the tracks
were thought provocking and the "Jestem Kobieta" track was my all-time-high
favourite. I hoped this would be a snowball that would start an avalenge of
music experience in Poland. Funky beats, excellent CD from start to finish.

But come consequent CD's, lack of creativity and originality. Makes her well-
acclaimed talent slightly "dubious" ... kinda an attempt @ originality which is
    stifled by lack of creativity.

Her latest album and Lyrics are unoriginal and unpretentious, albeit
listenable. I guess this has remained her strong asset, dancable track songs.
Every time she tries soul, she comes short, again not in her vocals, but style.
Her vocals can match any international artist...

Any comments, critics are welcome... and hey, why doesn't someone invite her to
    comment in this thread?

I think her self-titled album was the best. It had it's charm and really good
songs. Promotion failed, I think. sad

Yes, it's true, "Invisible" isn't original. Her record company "forced" her to
work with people she didn't want to work with. That's why the album is so
    > Her vocals can match any international artist...

I think she' s the best female voice in Poland and much better than Celine Dion
while concerning the emotional side of her songs. Celine lacks of emotions while
Edyta sings them very well smile

Her hubby is her lead musician. A very nice chap, very unassuming. If you saw
him in the street, though, you would never imagine he was with Poland's finest.
But she clearly has a very strong affection for him, maybe based on his ability
