TECHNICAL APPLICATION MANAGER WITH ORACLE DBA EXPERIENCE

The experienced Technical Application Manager has to manage, support and
develop the company’s existing 24x7 web applications
3-5 year experience with Oracle DBA, knowledge of Oracle 10g and RAC is a plus
Knowledge of Iplanet, Jboss and Java is a big plus
Also the candidate should be familiar with the following software and systems
Solaris, Unix-scripting, Tomcat, Certificates, PHP, LDAP, SSH, SSL, XML and
Manage, support and develop a migration project for the company's web
application infrastructure including the implementation of Oracle 10g RAC.

Under general supervision, using established procedures and policies
applies advanced skills and knowledge to provide system analysis, support
and advanced level training to users of JDE Business Applications. Defines
and resolves less routine and highly complex problems, conducts

recommends improvements/upgrades and equipment changes to JDE applications.
Functions as the expert in one or more JDE Applications and is frequently
consulted by others in the group for guidance. Monitors progress and may
supervise and guide junior level JDE Application Support personnel on less

As a Software Engineer you will contribute to the delivery of the products by
designing, implementing and testing new functionality. You are expected to
provide estimates for your own work and deliver results according to an
agreed schedule. Your design should be in line with the overall
product architecture. Furthermore you provide input for user documentation.

document and information distribution challenges that organizations face is
required. Experience with BPM, workflow and automated document and
information delivery software is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and resolve complex pre-
sales technical problems.
Experience presenting complex technical concepts in a clear manner to
customers through presentations, demonstrations and proposals.
Understanding of strategic selling and consultative selling processes,
including demonstrated experience participating and succeeding in strategic
selling and consultative sales environments.
Excellent oral and written English and French language skills plus strong
editing, communications and interpersonal skills required. Italian and/or
Spanish language skills are an advantage.
Familiar with Lotus Notes & MS Exchange mail servers as well as Microsoft
Sharepoint. Experience integrating solutions with ERP systems such as SAP and
Oracle will be an advantage.
Knowledge of XML and Java programming will be helpful. Familiarity with web
services and .net is an advantage.
Education & Training
Engineering or computer science university degree preferred.
A minimum of 5 to 10 years technical sales support experience. MCSE
qualification or equivalent experience.
Provide pre-sales technical support for all products; including proposal
generation, sales presentations, product demonstrations, appropriate product
configuration, product recommendation and product pricing.
Answer technical and competitive questions from the channel and potential
customers. Perform a consulting role for potential customers by:
o Travelling to customer site.
o Listening to and determining customer needs.
o Developing a plan to manage and meet the potential customers’ needs.
o Assist prospects in resolving technical problems.
o Provide installation support, training, and post-sale consultation.
