Lech Kaczyński wants to secure for his protégés the three embassies crucial for his foreign-policy ambitions - to Kyiv, Moscow and Vilnius. Will Prime Minister Tusk and Foreign Minister Sikorski give in to him?
What has Poland to do in common and in the East with such countries
like Russia, Ukraine and Georgia? Nothing.
These countries are not in the NATO or the EU. Our real polish
partners are in the NATO and in the EU: in France, Germany, USA, GB
etc. And in Latvia or Slovakia to, but not in Moscow, Kiev or
Tbilisi. Of course we should try to cooperate, especially
economically, with everybody: from China to Chile but real
partnership is something else. It’s the system of common agreements
and common values. We have not something like that with those
countries. We can see very plastically by one little example –
Euro2012 – what dos it really mean to “cooperate” with such country
like Ukraine. To organise such event with Ukrainians was a big
mistake from the beginning. We could do that much better with
Czechs. They are in NATO and in EU.
