'THE Shawshank Redemption' has been voted the greatest movie of all time.

The 1994 classic, starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, beat 'Star Wars'
film 'The Empire Strikes Back' into second place.

'Lord of the Rings' favourite 'The Fellowship Of The Ring' came third.

'Star Wars' came fourth and 'The Godfather' fifth in the poll of 20,000
readers of 'Empire' movie magazine.

'The Shawshank Redemption' was not a huge box office hit on its release.

Ja też nie rozumiem fenomenu tego filmu - ot, jeden z bardziej przyzwoitych
obrazów o więzieniu, ale żeby zaraz arcydzieło?
A w czołówce najlepszych powinny być takie filmy, jak "Osiem i pół"
Felliniego, "Andriej Rublow" Tarkowskiego, "Zmierzch bogów"
Viscontiego, "Szepty i krzyki" lub "Tam, gdzie rosną poziomki" Bergmana
czy "Obywatel Kane" Wellesa.
