The French arm of US-based The Fragrance Foundation, in partnership with
Marie Claire magazine, revealed the winners of this year’s French FiFi Awards
at Paris’s City Hall last night. The big winners of the evening were
L’Instant de Guerlain (LVMH), which scooped three prizes, and Gucci pour
Homme (Cosmopolitan Cosmetics/Wella) with two.
Three new prizes were awarded this year, while the Best Classic Fragrance
category was removed. A spokesperson for the FiFis tells Cosmeticnews.com
that the award was discontinued as, since it rewarded fragrances at least 15
years old that had seen new advertising during the year, it had often come up
with the same winners year after year.
The new “Coup de Cœur de la Distribution” prizes (retailer’s prize) were
chosen by beauty advisors only, while the winner of the Prix Marie Claire,
for a women’s fragrance, was picked by the magazine’s editors. The winners
are:
