US. Elizabeth Arden has revealed further details of the first feminine
fragrance from Britney Spears.

As previously confirmed on The Moodie Report (12 March 2004), the scent will
make its debut in selected doors this autumn, while the full global roll-out
is scheduled for spring 2005.

Make-up and skincare products are expected to follow within the next two
years.

“Britney is an ideal partner on many counts,” commented Elizabeth Arden
president Paul West, when the deal was announced. “…Britney has huge appeal
both in the US and abroad…We’re very excited to be working with her.”

Curious Britney Spears is described as an exhilarating white floral wrapped
in vanilla-infused musk. The juice was created by Quest’s Claude Dir, in
consultation with Ann Gottlieb.

The fragrance opens on notes of Louisiana magnolia, Anjou pear and lotus
flower, leading to a heart of tuberose, star jasmine and pink cyclamen. The
base features musk and sandalwood.

The line-up comprises 50ml and 100ml edp sprays, a 200ml Deliciously Whipped!
Body Soufflé, a 200ml Lather Me Up! Shower Gel and a 14g Write On! Perfumed
Shimmer Stick.

The azure fragrance flacon is faceted and adorned with two pink, heart-shaped
charms around the collar. The 100ml version has a retro-chic atomiser.

The outer carton is a metallic pink and azure (reportedly Britney’s two
favourite colours), with a matte black outer sleeve.

The recommended domestic price points, ranging from US$20 to US$49.50,
reflect the brand’s key target market of 17 to 35-year-olds — somewhat
younger than that of the company’s flagship Arden and Elizabeth Taylor
brands.

“We think that Britney will draw in a whole new group of consumers for us,”
commented West.

Ale mimo to jakże okropna :-)

No flakon wyglada dosc "odpustowo" :-). Zadziwia marketingowa szybkosc- od
podpisania umowy Arden z panna Spears do prasowej premiery minelo kilka
miesiecy- zapewne podsuneli jej juz jakis dawno gotowy zapach. Ciekawe, czy
bedzie u nas w szerokiej sprzedazy- zapewne tak, podobnie jak J.LO. No a potem
jeszcze czeka na swoj debiut zapach Sean John ( hip-hopowej marki P.Diddiego
vel Puffy Daddego) stworzony we wspolpracy z Estee Lauder/Aramis. Co za czasy,
zgadzam sie luloo :-) A Britney w reklamie wyglada nadspodziewanie grzecznie. :-

ma doskonałe notowanie nawet u słynnej Suzy Menkes:-) jeśli chodzi o kolekcje
mody. A i teraz zmienia styl z "bling bling" (złoto + złoto i na złocie) na
tailoring.

perfum, wprowadzil linie akcesoriow do golenia.

"NEW YORK — Music, fashion, fragrance, the vote — now shaving?

Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has created signature shaving products via a
collaboration with niche men’s grooming marketer E Shave. The items, a pair of
razor-and-brush sets, are to be carried along with E Shave essentials like
shaving cream in Combs’ first Sean John boutique, which is slated to open on
Fifth Avenue and 41st Street here in the next two weeks.

“Lifestyle products are very important to the store,” said Charles Soriano,
vice president of retail for Sean John, the hip-hop mogul’s label. “We feel
very strongly about this market. Alongside apparel, we’ll have other lifestyle
categories and this includes men’s grooming.” Soriano also noted future plans
include merchandising the men’s fragrance Combs is expected to launch next year
with the Estée Lauder Cos. — as well as categories like home accessories — at
new Sean John stores like the one he sees opening at Beverly Center in Los
              Angeles in the spring.

While executives wouldn’t comment on the value of E Shave’s deal with Sean
John, industry sources speculated the E Shave products could generate between
$100,000 and $200,000 at retail in their first year at the Sean John boutique.

“They’re very open to the idea of designing [products] exclusively for them and
their consumer,” E Shave founder Danielle Malka said of Sean John. Malka, who
is an artist and designs her brand’s products, added, “Sean John is fashion-
forward and out on the edge — that’s what we do in our world.”

Malka, who initially met Sean John executives at a trade show, was reportedly
among a number of men’s grooming brand owners approached by Sean John
executives. E Shave was chosen, Soriano noted, “because of its sleek, clean and
sexy shapes. We feel the same way and Mr. Combs feels the same way — E Shave
has a reputation for handmade and handcrafted product.”

Each shaving set will include a razor and brush, as well as a stand. The sets,
called Flame and Smoke, are priced at $185 and $170, respectively. E Shave’s
logo will read “ê Shave” on outer packaging but not on the products’ handles,
which will be emblazoned with the Sean John logo and use Gillette blades. Plans
call for the sets to be merchandised in case lines with other product
              categories.

Eight-year-old E Shave is expected to have $4 million in total retail sales for
the entire company by yearend. It markets 24 pre- and post-shave products in
total and some 180 combinations of implements. The brand is carried in limited
distribution of about 250 to 300 doors in the U.S., including Sephora, Neiman
Marcus and independent boutiques. Moving forward, Soriano said it was “an
option” to launch the Sean John/E Shave products in the fashion label’s
wholesale distribution network, but that “for now, we’d like to limit
distribution — much like the exclusive [nature] of E Shave in general.”
