"Parfums Christian Dior is returning to the ice age for the launch of its
latest male fragrance, Fahrenheit 32.
The scent will debut worldwide in April as part of a summer fragrance launch
programme which also includes a reformulated J’adore eau de toilette, new
Miss Dior Chérie edt and limited edition Dior Addict 2 Summer Peonies. A
brand new female fragrance is also in the pipeline for autumn/winter 2007.
As the only new male scent in the schedule, Fahrenheit 32 is pillared as the
olfactory opposite to its fiery predecessor Fahrenheit, which debuted in
1988.
Taking its name from the temperature at which water freezes, the juice is
described as a fresh oriental and combines a top note of orange blossom with
a heart of vetiver and base of vanilla.
The fragrance is complemented by four grooming products, including a
deodorant stick, deodorant spray, after shave balm and shower gel.
An advertising campaign will support the launch featuring French actor Arnaud
Valois as the new Fahrenheit man at one with the elements in an icy
landscape.
Available in an eau de toilette spray a 50ml bottle will retail at £31 while
the 100ml version is priced £44. The ancillary products range in price from
£14 for the deodorant stick to £33 for the 100ml after shave lotion.
In the female scent stable, Miss Dior Chérie is to launch as an eau de
toilette in March (£39/50ml) with fresher, greener notes such as Calabrian
bergamot, orange essence, freesia, lily of the valley and patchouli.
The reformulated J’adore edt (£39/50ml) will launch in April accompanied by a
one shot Satin Moisture Body Spray priced £27, while May sees the debut of
Dior Addict 2 Summer Peonies (£25/50ml) in an exclusive deal with The Perfume
Shop, followed by a nationwide release in June."
