The direct seller has been working to heighten its premium fragrance offer
over the past year through partnerships and alliances, and this latest deal
is part of that strategy, it said.
The two fragrances will debut in the UK in September, followed by a global
rollout. The US launch of Christian Lacroix Rouge is set for November, while
Christian Lacroix Noir will enter that market in February next year. They
will be featured in the company’s brochure, available to more than five
million Avon representatives globally.
The women’s scent is described as a bold floral chypre with top notes of red
peony and citrus accents, a modern floral heart and a drydon of cashmere
woods, patchouli and musks. Christian Lacroix Noir, meanwhile, is a fougère
with top notes of ginger and saffron, a heart of cardamom and orris and a
base of cedarwood and vetiver. Both fragrances were created by IFF perfumers.
The packaging features the brand’s distinctive motifs and the bold use of red
and black, Avon said. Prices were not available.
Franco-American fragrance manufacturer Inter Parfums itself launched a new
prestige fragrance for the brand, C’est la Fête, only last month."
