"US beauty company Procter & Gamble is looking to move the Lacoste brand more
upmarket with the launch of its new men’s fragrance, Lacoste Elegance. “We
are targeting a premium 30+ consumer, and are developing a more sophisticated
category, so as to be seen as more than a sports brand,” a P&G spokesperson
comments.

The oriental fougère fragrance features aromatic top notes around a spicy
heart, and a dry chocolate accord at the base. It comes in a cylindrical-
shaped bottle, which is part metal and part glass, by QSLD designer Denis
Boudard. The outer carton is by Lutz Hermann Design. Grey Advertising’s
promotional campaign, meanwhile, aims to portray the elegant man, played by
German-born model Norbert Michalke in New York, US. The TV spot was directed
by Michael Haussman.

The Elegance line will be priced at around 5% higher than the Lacoste pour
Homme line, retailing from €36 for the 30ml EdT to €60 for 90ml. It launches
in July in Europe and the US, and rest of the world in September."

Jakis tu dla mnie maly zgrzyt- Lacoste to fajna firma, ktora jednak mi sie
kojarzy z rzeczami casual, sportowymi, a nie typowa elegancja. No, ale jak
mowia przedstawiciele Lacoste- pora przelamac ten schemat.
