Greetings!

Greetings to everyone!

First, I want to say that this forum was a good idea. I noticed how much fun
my wife has on the forum for "mixed couples" and I was missing that because my
Polish is not that good yetsmile

Maybe I should go on with a brief introduction. My name is Ervin, I am ethnic
Hungarian, Romanian citizen, currently living in Warszawa. Me and my wife work
in the refugee/human rights field. We have met 2 years ago in preparation
seminar for a human rights project. After the seminar she spent 6 months in
Azerbaijan, while I was in Slovenia. Those six months were enough to draw a
conclusion (and the good conclusion!) and at the end of the project I asked
her to marry me. For one year we've been living in Bucharest (Romania) and
moved to Poland in February.
We weren't planning to stay for long here, since we want to work in the field
with refugees, but our plans didn't come true in the way we wanted.. But by
now we learned how to be flexiblesmile. This means that we will live in Poland
for at least 1 year.

If somebody Hungarian or Romanian is reading this, please write me. It is
always good to practice my mother tongue or my second language.

I really hope that this forum will be lively and will live up to its
purposessmile, although socializing through internet is not the bestsmile

Waiting for your mails (or rather comments... I don't really know how to call
them) and have a nice weekend!

Greetings,
Ervin

Thanks. I'm very pleased that the idea has had such a good reception. For the
first few weeks there was very little activity, but thankfully it's taken off
mor enow, and people seem to be getting some good contacts out of it.

There's a Romanian visitor to Warsaw that I've been showing around. My wife and
I took her to Tasty Classics this evening in the Bristol. I wonder if you would
like to meet her. She's here until 31st July.

That's true, but sometimes it can lead on to other socialising. What I might
do, if there is a positive response to the idea in the group, is organise a get
together in a Warsaw park to mark when we have had the first thousand posts in
      this group.

Of course, I would like to meet your friend. If she also wants to meetsmile

On Friday (29th) afternoon I am leaving Warszawa, so it should happen before that.
I guess your mail address will be usenetposts@gazeta.pl, so I will just write
you a mail with my phone numbers. If she will have time and wants to meet then
        she could just call me.
It could work the other way around if you send me her contacts.

        Thanks!
