Chopin in the garden

24.07.05, 20:46

Me and my wife are just back from Zelazowa Wola, where we were at the concert
in the Chopin House, or actually in the gardensmile. It was a very nice
experience to listen to great music, hear the brids and the sound of the wind.

If you haven't been there yet, it is really worth to try this experience.
Concerts are on Saturday (I don't remember the time) and on Sunday (at 11.00
and 15.00).

      Fantastic.

I also quite like the restaurant across the road from there, it is good and
cheap also, and I recorded a duet of strangers in the night with their
newfoundland terrier, which I might put on my site one day.

I think it was the essence of Chopin still there in Zelazowa Wola which
inspired barking dog and whistling Englishman to team up with that Sinatra
classic. One would need an "iron will" to keep from singing.

There are great concerts of this kind in the Powsin Botanical Gardens (near
        Wilanow).

          That sounds fantastic.

Powsin is a great place, and those who haven't been there yet ought to see it
for themselves before summer rolls on too far and there is less on flower, and
things start to die back. Now we have one of the best moments to go. The fields
of Rudbeckia in flower there have to be seen to be believed. The palmhouses are
also fantastic, but then, they always are.
