Have any of you been to the WUM? Isn't it fantastic?
It's so well done and so 'real'.
I saw it being opened a year ago during the 60th anniversary of th Powstanie.
It took so many year for Varsovians to get a place of homage to those who
fought for the capital. Better late than never!
There are guides in many languages and the entry is for free on Sundays. It's
a good place to take children.

There's a concert going on there tonightsmile

I reccomend it for any foreigners or new comers in Warsaw or Poland for that
matter. Shows the true spirit of the Poles and the struggle of the days that
were probably some of the greatest in our history. Something we can be really
proud ofsmile

I saw a CNN documentary on the Uprising a week ago. I then remembered that I
had seen it last year. At that time, a friend of mine, and I were in Puerto
Rico, amd CNN had it on. For the 60th anniversary, I guess. My friend, an
American, was shocked to hear of the Uprising. This was the 1st time that she
actually saw all the political plotting of the Presidents, the Russian Army on
the other side of the river, and Norman Davies, comparing the numbers of
victims of the Uprising to the number of lives lost at World Trade Center, for
60 days, day after day. She became so interested in this chapter of our
history, that in the last year she has read quite a few books on this. Now that
there is a museum, once I live in Poland again, she will be able to come and
      visit. Thanks for sharing this.

My Mum and Dad went to it when they visited and they liked it. I want to go
some time, but I had to do something else that day.

Maybe it would be a good location for the first ::Foreigners living in Poland
      get together.
