This looks interesting, but how would you go about teaching someone who already
      speaks Polish, but makes mistakes?

What about someone who wants to have a course going through Polish literature,
for example reading Polish literature, and having words and the context
      explained to them?

What poems and what plays and novels would be on the syllabus for such a level?

          What is his excuse?

I've none really (at least that are valid), although I do think its a b***** of
a language for us older native English speakers.

I learned Italian fluently 13 years ago when living in Italy - it was easy, and
if I wasn't sure, then I would use the English word and put an 'o' or 'a' on the
end, and it often worked. Can't do that with Polish, and to be quite honest, not
sure I've still go the will (or the want?).

NO IDEA... none really good in fact.

gues its mainly being lazy. I speak english at home, so he doesn't have to try
polish. I know my mistake as well, but simply don't have patience... give up
after third time when I repeat simple question and after minute or two of
thinking he asnwers... nie rozumiem... GRRRR

he says its difficult, he doesn't hear differences between some of our obviously
different sounds... and doesn't understand that same word might have 8 different
forms depending on when its used 9przypadki are a science fiction for him...)

              Oh my gosh!!!!

I thought I was listening to my wife!

I remember in the beginning when I asked her, how do you say this or that in
Polish she used to say "well... depends..." and later whenever I asked I used
to say "No! don't say... It depends?"

I guess Polish it's so difficult because it's quite different from Romance and
Germanic languages in spite of thousand of elements from latin and Germanic of
              course.

About declension... I've noticed that even Poles sometimes are confused, how to
              say the proper one.

First time I listened to "samochód Opla", "Mercedesa", "Fordzie fiesta" I
thought I will never learn this language.

Why in Łódź nothing like that happens!? I will have to move to Warsaw one of
      this days...
By the way... I really need a book with the conjugation of Polish verbs, can
      somebody help me?

      Muito obrigado!

A Hungarian friend of mine showed me a very good book with the conjugation of
Polish verbs. I have to look somewhere for the paper where I wrote down the
publishing house and the author. As soon as I find it I will send it to you.
Good that you reminded me, I should get it to.

        De nada,
        Ervin

          Obrigado mais uma vez bartis_ervin.

I have a couple of learn-polish books at home like "Cześć! Jak Się Masz","Ten,
Ta, To" and some other 2 volumes book which I don't remember the name, this
books are good to learn basic and intermediate polish but are too much focused
in the declension. I know, I know... that is very important the declension in
order to speak properly but where are the verbs properly explained? sad
