This got to be either british or australian idiom, since I'm not getting it
at all. She posted this as a header on ther private forum...It beat's me why
would someone write sometning like that, it appears her intention was to show
her ego that is..... through the roof.

I prefer people who are toned down and tactfull. How about you guys?

What it meams is "Barman, Kindly sell me one of those golden packets of
cigarettes and a packet of crisps flavoured with sodium chloride and acetic
acid." Except for the fact that anyone who said it thay way in a pub would seem
incredibly anal. But that might work for you, who knows.

Well, maybe she's a looker. That could be one reason. Might also explain why
you're stalking her around the place. But you won't win a lady's heart that way.

Not really. I like people who have a certain colour and don't let others simply
walk all over them. I expect you do too, which is why you love her.

To stand up for oneself is one thing, but this woman is just obnoxious...which
is why her attitude irritatets me so much. She is self centered, arrogant lady
who likes to bully people and use her ability to speak english at English Only
forum and as an admin, to push her Anglo-Saxon agenda among poles, otherwise I
        would not care much...

Typical of the provincial girl of her rich "novo-bogacki" dady, she has spend
few years at some University for the rich in UK, but instead of learning
knowlege she only aquired arrogance pretending to be english, and saying things
like; "In Her Majesty Service- manners!" and other non-sense...

          Dear Waldek,

if you couldn't guess what "That'll be 20 Bensons and a packet of salt and
vinegar crisps please! smile" means it's ok. Especially if you are not native
speaker. But I don't really see why this makes Maggie arrogant...

"use her ability to speak english at English Only forum and as an admin"
I guess that somebody who moderates English Only should use her/his ability to
          speak English.

If you don't like the forum or you dislike Maggie, simply you shouldn't visit
the forum. This might solve your problems...

If you are looking to provoke her, you might notice that she's not letting
          herself be provoked,

Provocation is not my style, if I pursue the subject it's because I'm honest
and straightforward kind of person, which is why I would like to open her eyes.

If she was not an admin at English Only forum I couldn't care less what she
says, but since she is that, she should cary herself profesionally and in
            unbiased manner...

Did you notice that you are flattering yourself?

I wonder why exactly the English Only is such a strategical place... why not for
e.g. Forum Jezyk Wegierski? Maybe some people are putting forward the Hungarian
              agenda...

I don't know Maggie and I don't know you, but she seems a Lady while you don't
              seem a Gentleman at all.

If that has anything to do with promoting tasty food, exotic sounding words,
and wide open spaces with plenty of wildlife, then count me in.

Go on. You love her. Methinks the Waldek doth protest too much.

You want some advice, from an older man to a younger?

          Tell her.
Tell her that the sun and moon rise in her posts,
          Reach out to her.

          And whisper
Tender words so soft and sweet
Hold her close to feel her heart beat
Love will be the gift you give yourself.

          > She is self centered, arrogant lady

That's a countable, by the way.
I mean that linguistically, no sociopolitically.

You mean she wants to push an Anglo-Saxon agenda among Poles?

          Why it's .... it's .... a CONSPIRACY!!!

Yeah. I can see how much you don't care.

The really amusing thing here is the way these references go whoosh over your
          head.

Why don't you find out what those things actually mean and stop making a clown
          out of yourself?

A red nose and a smile painted on with stage make-up never won fair lady, self-
          centered and arrogant or not.

            Barbados) finds you lines funny....

If I am funny, I've got to work at it. But I take my hat off to you - you're a
              natural.

A "shining wit" as the Reverend Spooner would have put it.

If you've got access to the Internet (and I suspect you have), simply
google "things you buy in packets of twenty in the same kind of places where
they sell crisps" and everything should be clear.
