speaing foreigners that wish to correspond or have a cup of coffee? Please

      Hi Eugene,

      Welcome to Davey's forum, Eugene!
A friend of mine was born in Tranow and it's absolutely gorgeous.I have tons of
pics from that place. I can definitely see why someone would want to live in
that area. There is so much history everywhere you go in POland.
I am sure you will have people want to write to you or meet for a quick java. I
can share a cyber java with you... I am not too sure what it tastes like but we
      can give it a try!

      smile Kylie

        Hello Kylie!

Thank you very much for your warm welcome here! Indeed, the city of Tarnów is a
very nice one with an interesting 'old town' center with many fabulous pieces
of architecture. I live further south in the beginning of the Carpathian
mountains, on top of a mountain. smile From my home, I can see the entire Dunajec
River Valley, the small town of Zakliczyn, and the surrounding hills. This area
and my village are basically agricultural, with many horses and horse drawn
wagons around. It's really nice! Hope some of you can make it here one day for
a cup of coffee, tea, or even a beer!

        Best Regards,

        Eugene

How's life down there? Don't you feel a bit isolated? I only live just outside
Warsaw and I feel a bit out of it, despite having quite a few Polish in-laws
          locally.

(Many apologies, I'm only a Brit)

            Hi Varsovian!

To be frank with you, life is great here! Sure, my home is isolated considering
the fact that my village Siemiechów has approximately 1,900 residents, however,
I purposely escaped overcrowded New York City (population 8,000,000 +) to be
here surrounded by my own forests and land. If I wanted to live in a crowded
city, I naturally would have lived in Warsaw, Kraków, or even Tarnów. I can
wake up in the morning here, stroll through my own forests, breath in the fresh
air, and enjoy the spaciousness. Only today, I looked out of my window and
there were 6 deer eating grass on my lawn. I have many interesting neighbors,
who only speak Polish. Otherwise, it's quite rustic and nice, and not lonely at
all. A nice thing is that I have an excellent internet connection here! smile
Anyway, come one, come all here for a nice beer!

            Best Regards,

            Eugene

It almost sounds like living in an Amish country....except for the computer, of
          course. smile
Glad you like it there, Eugene.

          Stick around - it's a cool forum!

            Hi again!

Eugene, you might wanna check Maggie's web site as well. A lot of people need a
hand with their English and if you know at least some Polish you will be OK.

Nice lady. A good place to visit when you have some spare time.
I am not sure what happened to "Uncle Davey" (he runs this site). Most likely
he is on some business trip again "running around with his fancy lap top and a
snazzy Rolex". At least that's what he said he was doing last timesmile

            Cheers,

                Hello "Nasza Maggie"!

It's a pleasure to meet you! Do you live in Poland, if so, where? I look
forward to more chatting with all of you here in these forums!

Well I'm back now. I don't have a fancy laptop or a rolex, so I think you have
              been paraphrasing me rather liberally.

I have a laptop, but it's certainly not that fancy.

In fact, my technology is so mediocre that I cannot get on here when I am on
              the road.

I should, like, do something about that.

      coffeee with you.

      Welcome to the group!
