        Exactly.

      You're very welcome.

I am going to do something in a few minutes which they do on the Japanese
forum, which is, as you may have noticed the most popular forum in the "Polska
i Swiat" section, (except for the so-called spamforum, but that is full of
phoney posts just done to beef up the volume) and therefore it is no shame to
      emulate them.

That is, I am going to have a "sticky" thread at the beginning where all the
members can introdue themselves. There already is a thread like that, but it
wasn't sticky. If I can work out the tetch-nickel aspects, I'll turn that into
the basis of the sticky thread.

I've been reading this forum on and off for months without introducing myself sad
My name is Hanna (real name)and some time in the distant future I might come to
live in Poland after years 'in exile' in south-east London. I enjoy reading the
light bits giving me some idea of your impressions of Polish culture/reality.
I must admit all the political references go over my head but I can live with
that. On the other hand, gems like Fabryka Trzciny, bary mleczne counting
everything, mohair berets, the relative merits of Polish countryside, Christmas
concerts and your admirable patience when confronted with challenging issues
(Ango-Saxon conspiracy)to name just a few put a smile on my face. smile

WELCOME to Ms Jones from a slightly inebriated Uncle Davey, busy decking the
        halls with boughs of holly.

Great to see you here Hanna. About time too! I am glad you have decided to join
in! Dave's forum seems to be growing like crazy and that's really cool!
As they say, the more the merrier. I didn't really know you were thinking about
        moving back. Wow! ...
        Welcome to OUR forum.

            Cheers, you two.

Kylie, are you any nearer visiting Wroclaw?
            • kylie1 Re: A new person 15.12.05, 04:33
Not really, Hanna. I wish I could magically transport myself there but we have
a lot on our plate right now: the oldest son is moving out ( finally) in the
next couple of months ( he was supposed to be out by the end of November), we
will be moving into a condo and selling the townhome in which we are right now.
I dread moving. I have done this only 15 times in my life. Even though I have
it all down to a science, it's a real pain. After we are moved in, we will try
to hop on the plane to visit Poland. That's the plan.
Are you serious about moving back to Poland? Or perhaps just thinking about it?
I wonder how your husband feels about this? That's a huge step!

              All the best,

              Kylie smile
              • ms.jones Re: A new person 15.12.05, 20:36
15 times! You can do it with your eyes closed, it'll be a doddle - I hope it
goes fine! Hopefully it's the last time you move and you can think of it as a
masterclass in how it should be done smile
I'm seriously thinking about the having a small flat in Poland and my husband
is used to having an independent wife smileI'm thinking way ahead here, when I
stop working I'd like to divide my time between somewhere nice and warm (like
Cyprus), Poland for extended visits and England (preferably not SE London).

                smile

Including the possibility of living in Poland? Then we can swap notes when the
time comes! Although I am talking long term plans here... Ideally, I'd like to
share my time between England, Poland and somewhere warm and pleasant on the
Med smile (emphasis on ideally). Are there any towns or places in Poland you're
        particularly interested in?

          Hi ms. jones
Sorry to hear you live in SE London - come to Poland at once if you know what's
good for you! That's an order, whereas SE London is ordure.
You're bound to find a job and cut out a good life for yourself here. My wife
has enjoyed her return, despite the stress it put on me, and I've more or less
settled down OK (although there are occasional bad days). And it has been good
for the children (although my older one 'feels' more English than me!).
