Health scares - English-speaker's obsession

The latest is aspartame. NutraSweet.
The claims are it causes cancer - conflicts of interest and science over this
one.

Do you know one of the reasons why Polish ham doesn't taste as good as it
used to? The govt banned the previous extreme use of the nitrosamine curing
agent - one of the causes of Poland's sky-high stomach cancer rates.

English-speakers suffer from their addiction to milk, which northern
Europeans tag onto with their love of other dairy products. It's great if you
want prostate cancer and loose bowel movements. Big prediction: Poland
joining the EU will result in higher prostate cancer (please tell Waldo this,
someone). And for the ladies ... it helps cause osteoporosis.

The issue over aspertame is as old as the hills.

What is the biggest problem is taking tea with lemon, as the citric acid makes
the aluminium in the tannin digestible, adding to the risk of Alzheimers
      disease.

This major health issue has passed almost unnoticed in the media.

Alcohol IS good for you unless you occasionally abuse it ... and then it
      becomes superb!
I didn't know about the aluminium lemon tea thing though - you see, you live
      and learn, then die dumb.

        Just reminded me of a good friend, who I've not seen for years, who said;

Life's a bitch, and then you die!
