If you have free internet time...

you can do something useful with it.
The UN Volunteer organisation has an online volunteer site.

Some tasks might be only 4-6 week long and require only 1-5 hours per week, so
it is not such a big sacrifice.

      I hope so. It's a super idea.

Maybe I can stop just talking about being useful, and actually start (being useful).

      I'll let you know.

      Thanks

        I'll wait for updatessmile
The 2nd link which I copy-pasted is an assigment where the volunteers should do
research and identify donors of medical equipment and artificial limbs for kids.
The organisation doesn't have a website, so they might not have only dial-up and
for them some reserach could be useful.

Another thingsmile each time I read a post from you I remember Ian Rush or rather
my father talking about Ian Rush. When he was travelling abroad at times he had
chance to watch football matches and as a kid I heard often the loooooooong
description of one of those matchessmile
During communism in Romania, there was no possibility to watch the World Cup, so
4 guys (including my father) teamed up, went to the mountains (there it was
possible to catch Russian channels) with car and TV and loads of beer and stayed
there for days watching football, drinking beer, making steaks. Unfortunately, I
was too young to be takensad
Now it is so easy to watch the World Cup. And by the way, which wife would
believe now that you are going to the mountains to watch the World Cup? smile

In the UK, the excuse used to be 'I'm taking the dog out for a walk'.

They didn't believe it even then.
