tax for charities

Hi,

Apparently it is possible to pay one percent of your tax to charity here.
Can a foreigner in Poland do that? Pay for example to a dogs home or PAH or
anything else?
I guess it is only in April when the PIT has to be handed in but it would be
interesting to know how to contributesmile

I will check and write you, but as far as the principle goes it should be
possible. Tax is tax, doesn't matter if it's POlish citizen or foreigner.

If it wouldn't be possible then it would create a distinction between the two
groups and until now I didn't notice such legal provisions.

You obviously need to know what 1% of your annual tax is, which is why most
people do it at the time when they are calculating that, but if you know it now
you can do it now, and you need to know that the recipient is a valid charity.
When you fill out and submit your final PIT roczny, you need to provide
documentation for the donation, such as a receipt from the charity or a bank
przelew from your bank, preferably both.
