Hello Jeanie. Welcome to the forum!

I wish I could name anybody but I am not too familiar with the Polish scene.
And in my age handsome hunks don't make me drool anymore.
That reminds me of a funny quote from Simpsons where an old granny says to
      Homer:

"I have seen a barrel of pickle in my day".

Well, you know what I mean... Similar concept.

as far as Polish ladies go, most of them are exceptionally beautiful...it's a
hard call to name just ten of them.

If you guys watch polish tv, you propably know who the polish rock-pop band
Kombii. I don't know her name but the lady who sings back-up for this band at
the concerts, I extremally hot... The british call that type of women "foxy
lady" I believe; beautiful, wonderfull "inteligent" and intriguing type of a
      smile.

I notice she has quite a pronounced carroty nose and big boney hands, as well a
butch eyebrows and a pronounced Adam's apple.

Are you sure this person has always been female, Waldek?

              Davey,
Did you day your wife was Belarussian? You didn't expect that a slavic women
going to look like your "average Jane"...with the looks of Baby Spice

face like a pear...and bullous nose....

Slav ladies" invading British Isles and stealing hearts of the british
guys...It just happens that british ladies see them as a major competition,
with their "high bony chick, high forehead, and slim tall shapely figures..."

Well, what can I say, more Polish men went than women, as far as I can tell.

There are plenty of Polish women here in Poland, so, as the Polish plumber
says: "Venez nombreux". It's interesting that he says "Venez nombreux" and
not "venez nombreuses" - he knew how to tap into the mainstream French psyche,
which is that of the "pouffe de fromage" or cheese eating surrender-monkey
                poofter.

They were thinking of having a lady Polish person on that poster for the French
but they decided that it wouldn't have had such an impact on the tourist
industry, bearing in mind the proclivities of the Gallic nation.

No kidding, after all everywhere Beatles went (back in their days), they met
screaming teenage girls and young ladies, with one exception. As they
temselves admited later they were astound that in France most of the fans at
the concert were guys blinking at Fab Four and checking them out.....

Catherine Zeta Jones was cited in the context of being British.

She is neither English nor Caribbean, I don't know where you get your ideas
from, she is entirely Welsh. Her parents were Dai and Pat Jones. You can't get
much more Welsh than she is. She's Welsher than I am, I'm only a quarter Welsh.

The British people are not predominately blond, despite delusions by Hitler to
the contrary, who, thinking that the English were mainly blond, sent Rudolf
Hess to parachute down over the UK and make contact with this center of
                    burgeoning blondness.

But we were not that dumb, and arrested him instead, and made him join Spandau
                    Ballet.

What's the difference anyways? You have to remember that people who
differenciate between Welsh, Scottish, English and Northern Irish are almost
                      exclusively themselves.

This is no insult but, just ways to simplify things, besides when Americans
speak about Germany they don't care wheather one is Bavarian or Saxonian...he
or she is simply German. If you want people abroads not to mix you up, you
shouldn't be throwing yourself in the same bag (UK)

Europe is not a country but a continent, I don't believe that Spanish folks
think they are same as Belorusians...Even if you meant EU, still there's little
connection between EU citizens, not only that they still belong to quite
differing cultures but theres no communication, no common language. US is

Maryla Rodowicz & Alicja Majewska = drag artists! (male performers dressed as
            women)
I see no-one got the subtext ... I'll be less subtle in the future.
I reckon Waldo must be highly sexy, with that moustache of his.

You got the point, but only when speaking from american or british point of
view. It's the fact that the Maryla Rodowicz looks like a dry queen (I live in
USA so that's how I see her also) but who cares what anglo-saxons think she is
performing exclusively in Poland and abroads only for "polonia".

Just tell any pole (living in Poland) that Maryla looks like a tranvestite..and
they will have no idea what you're talking about.

First of all, don't americanize my name, just say Waldek or Waldemar....you're
in Poland...so that would be more appropriate. I never heard any poles aproach
englishman in London calling them; Scottek or Elizabethka....

Secondly, why are you asking about my looks, we are discussing beautiful people
from TV, so I had a right to say who looks beautifull acording to me. What's
the problem, why are you trying to offend me personally?

      Old boys:

Bogus Linda (he used to be or still is winning all polls in women's magazines)

It's a pity that we (in Poland) don't anyone like Jim (aka James) Caviezel. How

Well, I'm not an expert on handsomeness, but it seems to me that 5 handsome
Poles out of 40 million isn't very much sad
Maybe some macho chauvinist will start a "Name 10 Pretty Poles" thread, it

I don't know about men (Polish or English they don't turn me on) but most
          English women look like dogs.
The one that really make me sick is Victoria Beckham. She looks like a

Your long holiday in England must be sheer hell for you, then, although
apparently America has more doggy-beauticians than anywhere else so maybe "to

She should eat more, that's true. And she should learn to read.

I don't know England very well either (although I've probably spent more time

I m not gonna name any handsome Poles... But, I spent last summer in UK and
honestly, i heard about british women. My friends told me a lot about them, but
i didnt believe. Now I do. And i cant understand how they can be so fat...
British are of course very very nice. But still fat. Can anyone tell me why is
that? I ve been thinking about it, maybe it is because of the national diet...
But i v been eating that food for 3 months and i didnt get fat. So what is the
                                  reason?
