Wesołych Świąt Bożego Narodzenia - a prayer for us

24.12.05, 15:52
Bóg się rodzi, moc truchleje,
Pan niebiosów, obnażony,
Ogień krzepnie, blask ciemnieje,
Ma granice Nieskończony.
Wzgardzony, okryty chwałą,
Śmiertelny Król nad wiekami !
A Słowo Ciałem się stało,
I mieszkało między nami.

Cóż masz niebo,
nad ziemiany ?
Bóg porzucił
szczęście swoje.
Wszedł między lud ukochany,
Dzieląc z nim trudy i znoje.
Niemało cierpiał, niemało,
Ześmy byli winni sami.
A Słowo Ciałem się stało,
I mieszkało między nami.

W nędznej szopie urodzony,
Żłób Mu za kolebkę dano !
Cóż jest, czym był otoczony,
Bydło, pasterze i siano.
Ubodzy, was to spotkało,
Witać Go przed bogaczami !
A Słowo Ciałem się stało,
I mieszkało między nami.

Podnieś rękę, Boże
Dziecię,
Błogosław Ojczyznę miła.
W dobrych radach, w dobrym bycie,
Wspieraj jej siłę swą siłą.
Dom nasz i majętność całą
I wszystkie wioski z miastami.
A Słowo Ciałem się stało,
I mieszkało między nami.

A Słowo Ciałem się stało, i mieszkało między nami.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.
John 1:14

Please feel free to join me in prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that thou mayest this day be born in the hearts of
many in Poland, may many children that are hearing of thee for the first time
this Christmas and many adults who have heard but forgotten understand in
their hearts and minds that thou art very God, born of Mary so as to be the
Lamb of God, who died to take away the sins of the world. Work in this
country powerfully I ask thee, through the Holy Spirit, and send out many who
will share the gospel with this nation. Give many faith, strengthen the weak,
protect the poor, heal the sick, give wisdom to the political leaders, and in
each of our home countries also.

I thank thee for this group, for this place in which many of us have got to
know each other. May we do good to each other. May we forgive one another for
any offence that we may have caused one another during the year because of
our sinful natures.

Bless our families we pray, our friends, and these we work with. Place thy
hand on them for good, we pray, and draw those to thee who do not yet know
thee.

May we be thankful for thy birth, and for thy perfect life, thy death and thy
resurrection. May we out of gratitude for that atonement with the Father
which thou hast made for us, live more worthy thee. For thy dear name's sake,
we pray.

Amen

Here is another one I like by Susan Kramer

A call to meditate for peace in every land ...

      Lord, we each and everyone
See You shining as a sun.

Radiant bright You are our light
Keep us sheltered in Thy sight.

      In every culture, language, clime
We feel Your presence in our time.

We look to You and in our way
Call out our need and daily pray.

With peace our present beck and call
Lord, keep us centered, one and all.

And as we try with all our might
Keep us striving toward the light.

May Your peace spread through all lands
So together we stand, hand in hand.

      Merry Xmas everybody.
