Why Waldek doesn't visit Poland

28.01.06, 12:42

This thread is inspired by russh asking in another post:

"Waldek, why did you desert your beloved Poland? Are you going to come back?
When
was the last time you come back?"

He'll never answer this. He's been asked so many times and always avoids the
subject.
So to boost his ego, let's dedicate this thread to him and his 'clever'
questions.

Russh.

I can say this he's doesn't visit Poland because

A; As soon as he would land here, the Army would kick his arse as his status
is probably one, that he should have done time in the Polish Army but run
away to the USA in order to avoid it.
Such a patriot he is.

B: He can't afford it.

Well, to tell you the truth I left for economic reasons, which is exactly why
      people still emigrate from Poland.

      > Are you going to come back?

Yes, but just to visit. I'm not planing to return for good and let Poland tax
me or my pension when I retire. I believe that, because they didn't gave me
opportunity to make living in Poland, the revenu service (fiskus) doesn't
deserve a single dollar from me. I might come again for vacation and blew
little cash on restaurants and other attractions, nothing more.

      > When was the last time you come back?"

Last time I wisited Poland was over 1 year ago.

Well, I just proved you wrong.

I left Poland with emigration visa (or pernament residence)and as a matter of
fact "I've checked out" (wymeldowalem sie) at the town hall, before I left...

      > B: He can't afford it.

You think only novobogacki/nomenklatura Poles can afford stuff? You're wrong,
I'm sure I live better life here in US than most small bussiness owners in
Poland...and I don't even have a bussines... Even the cleaning lady in US can
afford to live higher standard than so called middle class in Poland...So
      there's your answer.

I would ask you couple of personal questions as well, but you're not going to
answer it anyways, because for some reason you think you are above the law, as
many "well to do" Poles in Poland think..and that's pretty much the reason why
we have such mess, and corruption in Poland.
