Poland opens up it's labour market

01.02.06, 20:23
From the first of May the Polish labour market will be opened for foreigners
from all EU countries. Until now only citizens from the new EU-countries +
Great Britain, Ireland and Sweden have been able to work in Poland without a
work permit on the principle of reciprocity. The opening of the Polish labour
market is unilateral.

That's nice. I only hope that Poles can make use of other labour markets as
      quicklysmile

I think it's a good political gesture. It won't cost much, if anything, as there
will not be many more foreigners than at present, but will remind the
non-complying EU countries that Poland is playing its part in a modern Europe.

I was glad to read of the intention to open up to Bulgaria, Romania and
Ukraine. I hope Moldova will be able to join that list also.
