Can you help?

09.02.06, 11:19
Hello,

I'm a doctorate student of sociology and I'm conducting a research among
foreigners living in Warsaw.

I'm desperately looking for NON-EU citizens, graduates of medicine, law,
business/marketing or IT (however graduates of POlish universities are
excluded). It doesn't matter whether you work in your profession here, in
Poland, or not.

It will be a 40 - 60 minute anonymous conversation about the reasons of coming
to Poland, your life here, any problems you mighthave encountered.

I can't offer any gratification, but can invite you for a beer of coffee wink.

If you are willing to help, please leave your email here, or email me and
leave your phone number. I'll call you back.

BIG THANX

Pepperann

If you have legitimate questions, have them ready in writing on a questionaire
form. You need an hour for your "intreview"?
Some 20 years ago I had a salesman call me about a new "Queen" vacuum cleaner.
He said this beauty had some 15 new features on it and I should listen to find
out what they were. I said give me just one and try to make a sale. No
response - end of conversation. Click.

        Hello Kylie,
I don't quite understand you. I can just see you were quite disappointed by a
vacuum cleaner's dealer's beaviour 20 years ago, which has liitle, if anything
        to do with me wink.

Yes, I need to have an interview (taped, though anonymous). I know it would
have been easier with a questionnaire form (anserw a, b or c). But it's just
the matter of qualitative/quantitative data. However, If anyone wants to get
questions before meeting - I can send them.

I hope someone here will have better news than you, Kylie, for me.

What I wanted to add is that apart from Polish I speak English, Spanish and
        French.

Best reagrds to all the foreigners living in pOland (to you Kylie, as well)

Pepperann, please don't take things too seriously. Twenty years ago it was
about the vacuum cleaner. Sales people still keep calling (usually at dinner
time even though our phone number has been unlisted for the longest time) at
least once a week today. Half of them have "5 minute questionaires" ( usually
leading to finding out if you are a credit card holder).

An hour is a long time. Most people are really busy and that's all I was
saying. I would give you that hour myself but I don't live in Poland.

I wish you all the best, girl! smile

OK, very interesting. Which is your University and who is your promotor for
      your PhD?

Incidentally, you might want to look at the connotations of "gratification" in
English. If you google, you will see that most of the time it is preceded by
another word, a six letter adjective.
