Oh, I know what is going on. He purposely modified English title of this post,
so he can lure in some interior decorators, and squeeze them for some tips on
      decorating his pad. wink

Not a bad idea! Maybe worth considering for some women...a bachelor suite with
a bachelor inside...like a little bonus. Might be a bit tight inside but who
          knows...

Close quarters with an attractive opposite sex member?
I’d consider it a definitive advantage.
            Ok then, we have new, improved slogan for the poster;
“Bachelor pad for rent in downtown Warsaw (optional bachelor available)”
If the location aspect is does not work well enough, you always can play up the
companionship benefits. Darn, maybe I should start marketing this.
Hmm, FULLY EQUIPPED newer sounded so good... smile

"Bachelor apartment" - czy to British E.? Ja znam kawalerkę under the

      A few questions:

Street? Age of place? State of repair?
m2? Off street parking? Proximity to shops and facilities?
balcony? North/south facing? Which floor is it on? Lift?
Gas heating? Own boiler? Kitchen? bath/shower? Asking price?

You know "a nice place downtown" could be all sorts of things.
      • kylie1 Re: bachelor for rent in downtown of warsaw 10.02.06, 23:08
        Very important points, Dave! smile

        What if the place:

        is in a dark alley
plaster is falling off the walls
        no balcony
just one window (bathroom) facing inside courtyard
        ground floor
no boilers and kitchenette for one person

But, hey, at least heating's looked after - body heating that is- the bachelor
        will take care of that.

Then I would think that the Foreigner market might not be the best bet, and
they should ask in the students' groups about it!
          • kylie1 Re: bachelor for rent in downtown of warsaw 10.02.06, 23:29
Foreigners like some loving once in a while too, Dave. If the bachelor's good
looking - who cares if the windows are not facing South!

Are we talking about "loving" or "good loooking", Kylie?

They do not necessarily go hand in hand.
              • kylie1 Re: bachelor for rent in downtown of warsaw 11.02.06, 00:29
If the place has no window or just one in the bathroom, it shouldn't really
matter if the bachelor is good looking or not.
loving and good looking would be an ideal addition to the bachelor pad. But we
can't have it all, can we?

                smile

You are stomping on the shaky ground here.
                  Compromising can be dangerous.

                    I know one too:

Obviously, no amount of lubricant can cope with that.

At least everyone implicitly agrees on one thing...making love is very healthy

                      a few questions wawa-centrum:

                      window facing South, I hope...
                      elevator in building?
                      floors: hardwood or carpeting? Lino?
                      stove - gas or electric?
                      bathroom - shower or bath?
any annoying neigbors upstairs/midnight brawls perhaps?
                      whats the square footage?
how much are you asking a month/ week?

Thank you. I might keep all that in mind for my future trip.

                          or tiles. u like?

                          Aha, I like.

                          >i live in north am and i must say that locals in general are accustomed to
                          rather pretty shitty quality.

(And where is YOUR North BTW? That can be anywhere from North West /Seattle/
all the way acroos the map to Maine in the N.East). Your overgeneralized
statement sounds exactly like Waldo's. Are you Waldo by any chance?

"Shitty" is not a nice adjective. Try "mediocre", "run of the mill","second
                          rate", "second class", "shabby".

You don't sound happy. So much doom and gloom coming from a such nice person
like yourself! Can YOU afford a brick/stone house where you live? If you look
around might find people that actually live in those. I wonder if you belong in
                          that neighborhood by any chance.
About the brick building that has your apartment in it: did YOU build that one
                          yourself? Wow...

                          >locals often are pretty scrudgy (cheap i mean) too, beyond anything that is
                          known in the old world.

I am sorry to hear that. People usually speak from their own experience. No
brick, no stone, cheap carpets, electric stoves and MEAN people. I don't know
how you put up with all that. Have you considered going back?

"what i am counting on is somebody with a decent job who's company is gonna pay
                          for his place."

                          You?

Good luck! Does your place have one of them beds that fold out of the wall?
See, this is my plan: if the bachelor gets in the way ( or gets on my nerves),
I can fold him right into wall together with the bed. That should also muffle
any noise if he gets out of hand. Problem solved!
Well, maybe this is not such a good idea. My husband wouldn't like it too much,
I guess. But I don't think he would like the size of your place either. Our
kitchen is bigger than your apt.

Poland is a beautiful place and you can always return. I think it will make
                          you a happier person.

I received a deletion request to delete this thread from the person starting
                            the thread.

As I explained to the member concerned, I can delete his posts if he wishes,
but I have the policy not to delete the answers of others. Hence this thread is
still here, but you will no longer be able to read the poster's comments other
than those included in the answers of other people.

I would also like to point out to posters that my compliance with deletion
requests is entirely discretionary, and the best way not to have things on the
net that you regret saying is not to say them in the first place.

If you do find you've said something you want unsaid, the preferred way is to
accept the fact that you said it and it is there, but add an apology for
anything you feel afterwards was wrong.

In this case, I accepted the deletion request, but I wanted to make it clear
that I am not setting any precedents.
