Freedom of speech attacked in Poland again

15.02.06, 13:50
The magazine Machina published a picture of Madonna as Matka Boska.
This unimaginative idea caused such a shock among unimaginative people that
the mag was forced to apologise. Advertisers, under pressure from the extreme
right and religious fundamentalists, started to boycot the magazine.

        They do.
Instead of flagellating themselves, once a week they flagellate someone else sad

I can imagine the uproar if this picture was printed abroad. But since it was
published in Poland by Poles - I can't see what else this is about BUT
          marketing.
Storm in a teacup.... that's all.

Anyway, as far as Bible Thumpers chilling out - what would you say to Koran
          followers?

Have they heard of Matka Boska Częstochowska abroad?

            Even more hysterical, undeniably.
But since Islam (like Christianity) forbids idolatry, they'd have lynched the
person who painted the original icon.
