No, but he might be my relative since he was born in my region and besides there
are not so many person wearing the Bartis name.
I will talk with him and we'll settle thingssmile

I just finished his book. I really recomend it, it is one of the best and most
        original book I've read lately.

There is also Bartis Simpsonis, but I think he wasn't born in Transylvania.

Much as he might like to have been.

Good idea, only don't come to blows.

          Is there an English translation?

This is tomorrow, isn't it? Better just nudge it to the top of the pile.
            Unfortunately, I'm outside Warsaw.

No, there won't be English translation. Everything supposed to be in Hungarian
            and Polish.

"Good idea, only don't come to blows."
Well, I was rather thinking about beers.

"There is also Bartis Simpsonis, but I think he wasn't born in Transylvania.
Much as he might like to have been."
I am sure about this. I can even imagine Bartis Simpsonis starring in "Bart, the
vampire exterminator" movie or "Let's give garlic a chance!" cooking show. He
could be guest star in Polanski's "Wampirow" with his favourite line "Czosnek!
            Czosnek!"

              Well.......How did it go?
              • bartis_ervin Re: Cultural event - 7th March 08.03.06, 10:14

Well, we are relatives, that's for sure. Until now we didn't know much about
each other because during Ceasescu, he is his father were stripped of their
Romanian ctizenship and became persona non grata in Romania, so they left for
Hungary. In the last years he spends much time at "home" in Transylvania, so it
is an accident that we didn't bump into each other.

The event was horrible, the moderator totally missed what the book was about and
                was asking the wrong questions.

However, it was good to be there, talk a bit in Hungarian about "our" lands.
