Top Scots Icon on Nazi Death List!!!

Oor Wullie is an iconic cartoon character from the lovably ridiculous Sunday
Post newspaper, and not the moving tale of a pair of Siamese twins, as the
old joke goes.

According to a documentary to be shown on TV tomorrow, his creators were on a
list of people to be shot by the Gestapo when the Nazis won the war.

This would have brought the number of interesting events in the history of
Dundee to 3, after that bridge that collapsed in the 19th century and the
infamous Marmalade Disaster.

That reminds me of that episode from Dad's Army where they take this German
prisoner and he bosses them around and tells them "I don't vont soggy chips"
and says he's making a note of their names so that they'll be lined up against
      the wall when Germany wins.

Good thing they didn't, all things considered. I hope Teheran doesn't either -
I wouldn't be surprised if my name would be on their list...
