Darn! Looking for a babysitter again :(

14.03.06, 15:30
My mother-in-law unexpectedly handed in her resignation.
For anyone who might be interested, or who could help:

We live in Poznań. We're looking for an English-speaking nanny for our two
children (boy 7 and girl 5). We need someone between 3pm and 8pm from Monday
to Friday. Experience is necessary, references very well-seen. Idealy, we'd
prefer someone over the age of 23. We're only interested in a long-term
cooperation (at least one year, including summer months).

      LOL. Nice turn of phrase.
Some people might say there's no cloud without a silver lining...

Talk to Minttu who was around here recently...

How do you persuade a mother-in-law to sod off?

Let me in on the secret as well!

We could then get together afterwards & write a best seller.

Well, first of all you need a mother-in-law without the maternal-calling thing,
who has a son who likes to remind her of it in an oh so delicate way...

For me it's also not a big loss, but it was sudden. And with me working and
          studying at the same time...ouch

        I like it too!

I feel sorry for our neigbors. The lady's in-laws have moved into a new condo
just a block away from where she lives with her husband. Every Sunday mother-
in-law insists on taking kids to a church where people speak in tongues. After
that she takes them shopping to flea markets, pawn shops and garage sales. Some
of the toys she gets are at least 20 years old and potentially dangerous.
Nothing over two bucks. She shows up unannounced during the week and then takes
offence at seeing her son in law running around in boxer shorts - or worse -
briefs. I say you gotta love them all because they are family and a lot is
being forgiven. Thank God these two have decided to become a little bit more
creative lately. She told me she just signed up her kids for Sunday swimming
classes. Next on the list is Karate. Mother-in-law was told about the change of
schedule but hasn't clued in on it yet, bless her smile
