Good Morning Everyone

14.03.06, 17:32
Just a quick note...

I have noticed a strange thing this morning (still morning here). I opened my
windows XP, went to "Foreigners Living in Poland " website and I am trying to
read the new stuff. For some reason I can't read anything because it just
wouldn't open...
reaaaaallly strange.... So I opened another Internet Explorer window and this
one works fine.
Why do I have this feeling I know who is behind that?
If you guys don't see me here any more, at least you know what's going on...
Someone with that much power within the Gazeta administration is capable of
anything. That's a pretty desperate measure...

to be continued...hopefully

Kylie, I had a similar problem about an hour ago, the pages just wouldn't load
up. As we have restricted acces to lots of pages on the web, I thought 'oi oi
what have we here? has someone twigged that there is a trail of too many
footsteps leading from one place to this particular URL? (I'm not sure what url
is though) Basically my reaction was eeek, they are monitoring us! So my money
is on Anglo-Saxon mafia in the local council rather than the nouveau riche son
of the boss of pruszkowska mafia who pretends to be English etc smile)

      Have a good day!

Forget Internet Explorer, I'm using Opera or Mozilla browsers and since than I have absolutely no problems with gazeta page or any others.

        www.mozilla.com/firefox/

        www.opera.com/download

Exactly IE is just rubbish. Although it is commonly used as everyone is simply
used to it. Mozilla is much better.

As for the conspiracy theories and paranoia, well... it happenssmile))

I do agree! Mozilla is a lot better.

Instead of MS Office I would really recommend OpenOffice, which has the same
features and is an open source software. I huge plus of OO is that it can create
PDFs. You can save your files in many formats, including Word's .doc, but the
OO's own extension is .odt and in comparison with the .doc it is a lot smaller.

If you like to experiment, there is a good open source OS which is called Ubuntu
Linux. It is quite nice, but it might take some time to get used to it.

Ms. Jones - the "secret service" paranoia of someone watching us hasn't really
hit me yet but that remains to be seen. Things have changed in the last few
days. I am not used to experiencing any paranoias but I certainly wouldn't
question the power of "nouveau richies" in Poland either. I've heard about them
even here in Canada! That and a combination of things you don't have a clue
about would suggest your extremely poignant remarks have very little to do with
        the situation.
Keep in mind you might also get burned one day. Wait a minute...I sound like
Waldek, I think like Waldek and most of all I feel like Waldek! Waldek man, I
        SO understand you now.

I will have a great day. Thank you.

I don't consider anymore paranoia or a conspiracy theory the fact that we're completely surveilled, in fact the new technologies allow that, we gave the keys to the sistem, does anybody remembers 1974 Copolla's "The Conversation"? Imagine now 32 years after.

Echelon network retrieves key words such as "Bush", "terrorism", "Al qaeda" and other words wich can be used to track terrorists or other threats to the National Security.

Of course the same way it works for terrorism works for many other purposes.

I already posted here about the Bilderberg group but nobody believes this is serious.

You can always belive I'm crazy, naife, paranoid or any other titles, I don't care anymore.

In fact it can ONLY be used for other purposes.
Organised terrorist groups would never use the words "Bush", "bomb" or "Al
qaeda" in their e-mails, so Echelon just monitors the opinions of private
            individuals.

And since the CIA or NSA or whatever is now monitoring this message, I'd just
like to say that Bush is a redneck asshole cretin and I think he should go out
hunting with his buddy Cheney smile

            echelon is a conspiracy theory...

telecomm operators are having problems with rating and billing on time. they are
using very, very powerful machines and all they have to do is to process a
string of characters (about 250 - 300 characters long) for each event they have
            to charge for.

Listening, and analyzing trillions of phone conversations (involving speach
            analysis) is rather not feasible.

You still believe in Father Christmas?
              • the_real_kris Re: Good Morning Everyone 15.03.06, 15:44
No my naive little portuguese friend - I work in IT and I know much better than
you or other 'experts' what is feasible and what is not. I even gave you an
explanation but it's to hard to read for you.

And I also guess that you meant Santa Claus, right?

Get the basics sorted out first - then start thinkking about complex things like
                echelon.

Oh my tall Polish friend! You work in IT! You're really an important guy, I
will not dare to even discuss this matter with you.

Yes Santa Claus is USA version for Father Christmas, you're IQ must be above
                  average.

Don't pay attention too naive people like me Real Kris keep on bulding your
sand castles before the tide comes.

As I said earlier - first sort out the basics - then get to sth more complicated.

And maybe before you question somebody's IQ you should first try to work on your
spelling, gramma etc. - otherwise you make a fool out of yourself.
                    • portulaco Re: Good Morning Everyone 15.03.06, 17:53
                      Real Krisis!

You're a enlightened! There are here English native speakers and even somebody who has a forum about English language and you're the first one to point me that crap about misspelling smile))

Don't you have imagination? Attacking somebody because of misspelling is the ultimate cliché in what comes to foruns.

If you want we can discuss this matters in Portuguese, what do you think?

I've no reason to doubt you (I'm not so educated on IT), although there is no
doubt that surveillance is high on the priority list of modern governments, and
that technology is helping them in a way impossible a few years ago.

There is also no doubt that as soon as it becomes possible to survey all
communications, it will be done. Until then, they will survey as much as they
are able, conspiracy theory or not.
