Drug testing and animal rights

16.03.06, 10:38
After what happened in the UK yesterday, there has been a deafening silence
from animal rights campaigners ... who wish to see more horrific events like
that happen to humans instead of cute little bunnies.

Just in case you missed it:

In short - 6 human guinea pigs had a violent reaction to a drugs test and 2
are near death.

Well, the humans were volunteers, and if the drugs got to that stage it means
they'd already been tested and found to be completely non-harmful to bunnies.

Unforunately, it now appears that at least one animal had died.

I hope it wasn't a polar bear or a badger.

I heard that they had done some cross-breeding before. The animal that had died
was reported to have been a polar badger.

              The swine!
I mean, the swine? Were the swine ok?

Yeh, they made a pig's ear out of that experiment.

A lot of bull, was it?

We're back to the nuns again?

                      Dogged by failure.
                      A real cat-astrophe, in fact.

What I found to be of passing interest was that Myfanwy, the attractive red-
headed girlfriend of Ryan (let's hope she sticks by him now that he has become
ugly in the cause of science, and isn't like the original Myfanwy of "Paham mae
digter, O Myfanwy!" fame) said of him "he was swollen up and looked like the
elephant man" and then, of all people, they give him a surgeon whose name is
        Ganesh!

A mere coincidence? Or did they especially set on one "elephant man" to treat
        another?
