So Spring is oficially here now.

Have any of you got plans for your summer holidays?

I was thinking of Croatia this year. Any suggestions?

Tuscany (1 week) for the first time ...
then a week on the coast near Venice (same campsite for the second year
running - lovely people, few non-Italians, no pierced nipple, string-up-yer-
wotsit Germans, food to die for)

I would steer clear of Cro-atia or anything else to do with Crows while we
still have the threat of bird flu.

      And Turkey's a definite no-no.

        Davey,

But ptasia grypa is in Poland already... so going to Croatia shouldn't do me
        any harm.....

I'm going to finish construction on the conversion of my barn into a place of
entertainment (no...not strip joint!) once it gets warmer. The new barn
hopefully will function as a place to socialize, like a pub, dance area, ping
pong, billiard, darts, and even a place to sleep. It still requires new
windows, doors, and stucco / paint. I'm aiming for mid June, prior to the first
          day of calendar summer.

          Here is how it stands:

Anyway, that's my excuse for not going anywhere distant on vacation. smile

          Cheers,

          Eugene

Cool barn! With a bit of work, that could look like Heath Barn at my old school

            www.hemelhempsteadschool.co.uk/virtual_tours/heath_barn.asp
We used to do all the poncey subjects down there, like drama.
Even till today, whenever I'm reading a book and people are practicing to do a
            play, I envisage that setting.

But I don't only have nice memories associated with that place, either. It was
also the place we had the school discos, and once or twice they did get out of
hand. I remember one older boy putting his fag out on my jacket.
