calling out in the transit

Hi everyone. I'm 29, I'm american, and a year ago I met a nice Polish girl,
so now I've been living in Warsaw for six weeks. I'll be staying through
fall, probably.

So, with all my traveling and anti-american-way thinking, I figured I would
settle right in here and be happy with how different things are, and pick up
the language at an astounding rate.

Well, I was a bit too optimistic.

So, with family and friends abroad and being dumbfounded daily by the language
around me, I'm naturally beginning to feel a bit isolated and homesick.

So, if anyone in here can tell me about places to meet other Americans, that
would be great. Heck, I'll even spend time with you with you bloody Brits,
cheap Scots, drunk Irish, and kangaroo-wrestling Aussies. (Just kidding, I
love yous guys). Even Kiwis are OK in my book. I hear you have a lovely
country with lots of sheep. I'd love to hear about it.

OK, thankaya.

We can have another get-together and get to know you on that, as long as
someone else organises it, because whenever I do it kind of puts the kiss of
death on it, and most people don't turn up.

I'm getting kinda used to people in the net saying they want things, trying to
help them and then it turns out they don't want them. Stick around here, let's
have a few discussions and get to know each other, and then if you still wanna
go for the face to face with glass in hand option, then that's fine with me.
