Are we Brits really all glum buggers too?

Why do Aussies always sound so bleedin' cheerful?
Music to the ears though ...

As a teacher in Surrey I once had to lead a school assembly on patriotism -
it turned out the only truly patriotic ones in the school were the Aussie
sports teachers ...

      It's the weather.

well as an aussie living in Poland and I admit I have only spent a month in
England it is true that we aussies do seem happier. Do not think it is the
weather as im from Melbourne and speek with my parents every second day and
last summer was a nightmare so many days over 40 degrees.
Think we keep it pretty simple mate love ur friends our sport and our family.
And we have a no worries attitude. You can see a person at a bbq who maybe
works 70 hours and you ask them how are you and they say great as whats the
point of saying gees you know am so busy at work and this and that. People have
their own problems and do not want to hear this.
Am speaking as a proud aussie i know but the no worries attitude is a good one.
Just enjoy as much as you can as you only live once.

My next door neigbor is from Australia. She lives 6 months of the year here and
      six in Melbourne.
She is quite miserable but 3 divorces will do it to anybody.

It also depends which 6 months she spends in each hemisphere.
Having 2 autumns and 2 winters every year would be a bummer sad

is funny about that as I have been travelling back from Australia a few times
now and as a result I have only see about a month of summer the last couple of
years, really cannot be happy about that he he.
But yeah re the comments before I think 3 divorces wouldn't make you the
          happiest people in the world.

So you reckon my plan to divorce each wife as soon as she turns 30 and re-marry
someone younger and funkier is misconceived?
