But why did you go there to learn Polish when from your usage I can tell that
Polish, not English, is your native language?

That's all right then, but your word order in English is either Polish, or
Estonian suddenly became a West Slavonic language.

I went myself for a couple of courses to IKO. The last course was not
satisfactory at all.Our teacher Magda was very good, but the course itself was
            pretty sad.
The previous courses however were ver useful.

              Well, pardon me then smile
Indeed, Estonian couldn't be placed anywhere near Slavic languages.
Word order however is not always necessarily dependant on persons native
language (indeed it's the first factor, but there are many others as well) and
deciding about someones origin only by this is kind of bollocks, imho.
Thus I get the point why you asked but don't be so buggered now smile I merely
wanted to share information about a good Polish course which (according to my
              experiences) is hard to find.

OK. In that case I apologise for wrongly suspecting you of advertsing your own
product as if it were a third party recommendation. This happens so much that I
tend to get pissed and take put shots at it now and again, but unfortunately on
this occasion I accept I may have incurred collateral damage.

                I offer my little finger.

      lisettek,

Can you tell us more about the methods they use, what kind of exercises ... Did
you have homeworks? Are you able to speak Polish now?

      Cheers, Ben

Well, the course i took was an intensive course, hence we had lessons 3 times
per week, from 17.15 to 19.45.
The structure of each lesson was that in the beginning, like 30-50 minutes, we
just practised our skills in basic communication, talking about things like what
did we do earlier this day, what are the plans for evening, etc.
After this we moved on to grammar and various exercises.

Yes, we had homework on grammar and useage of cases, but in a suitable amount
(as I have a job also) so it was good.

Overall, as I understood, each teacher in Polonicum approaches the lessons
individually, our teacher was putting very much effort into linking the grammar
that we were learning at this point, to the discussions in the beginning of
        lessons.

Now i'm able to understand Polish, also to use cases and speak at beginners
level (it was only 3 months afterall); i am, however, taking another 3 months
course from there and after this, i hope, i'm done with the hard part.

Did anybody on this forum went to IKO for Polish? What's your opinion about them?
I think they are getting too big for their own good, standards are dropping.
This mostly due to the management who compose idiot course books full of
          mistakes (!)
