Have you got any pets?

30.04.06, 19:19
I've got a female cat named Misty. I used to have a male ( Mikey)as well, but
he went missing. Misty is not a pedigree cat, but she looks like a main coon.
Long haired gorgeous girl.

I've got about a hundred tropical fish.

I've got a cat-girl too. She likes to sit different places every couple days and
is a mean kitty, "don't touch me" "just feed me" type of personality. She'd mew
          if if whistle, all black.

If the ants count, seems like I have thousands of them.

brookie, I am glad you just have one cat.
I came across an article the other day saying that one woman in Maine was
keeping 248 cats in the house. Bunch of them were feral and some even dead. The
neighbors snitched on her- what a buzzkillers, couldn't stand the stench or
what? The lady was just growing cats.

I don't have a pet of my own, yet. My neighbor's dog Misiek is usually
unchained and visits me everyday. He even sleeps outside of my house during the
evening, barking at the deer and fox that roam the forests. I don't give him
food because it wouldn't be right. My neighbor might think I'm trying to steal
or adopt him. Misiek just enjoys being petted and following me when I take a
        walk.

A near neighbour has un-muzzled monster dogs he lets run around off-leash.
          Do they count?
          • kylie1 Re: Have you got any pets? 05.05.06, 07:16
It's a delicate issue but it probably depends on the amount of doggy poo you
have to scoop every day. From what you have told us so far, the poo cleaning
duty has not been so much the owner's responsibility. That right there AlMOST
            makes you the pet owner...
            • brookie Re: Have you got any pets? 05.05.06, 10:18
I can't stand dog owners not being responsible for the poo lying around the
footpaths and lawns. With cats, you don't really have to worry. They simply dig
out the holes and cover it once they finished. No poo, no fuss.

                That's the theory.

In practice you get what my neighbour has - a cat that refuses to go outside
and makes a right old stinky mess in their tray all the time.

That's what happens when you keep your cat closed in a flat.
Misty fertilises the garden every time she goes.
                  • usenetposts Re: Have you got any pets? 05.05.06, 17:31
This cat has open access to a lovely planted roof garden, yet fears to step
                    outside the flat.

It is a paranoid pussy, it thinks my kids are out to get it and pull its tail,
whereas nothing could be further from their minds.

Very amusing. I also liked the startrek karaoke one they had and the other G4TV
                        startrek things on there.

BTW. My most recent YouTube offering is my son eating his chips...

Thanks for that video. I have to figure out how to do it myself. That's pretty
                          neat!!
Wife is a cutie too. I bet she has her hands full with the kids? (and
                          you,too ...hehe).

Also, your British accent is really nice. I like it a lot.
                            Are your kids bilingual?

Thanks. I didn't think I had an accent. Germans say my German is "fast
akzentfrei" so I thought I was entirely free of an accent in my native tongue.

                              > Are your kids bilingual?

Trilingual, in the case of Sophie, but this delays the start a bit and George
                              barely says anything yet.

But the eldest has Polish, English and Russian off pat, which is not bad for a
                              five year-old.

                                Hi, cute little boy!
Mine ( Oskar) is 6 and is in year one.
                                Now about the cat.
Misty's been sleeping on her back all evening ( right next to the heater). Her
belly wide exposed, front and back legs spread out. Hilarious!

Oh, yeah. In Australia kids start zerowka at the age of 5, so Oskar is in year
                                        one now.
