wasn't funny ornobody is in the mood right now.

I disagree with one of the comments below your video... absolutely great
accent! Just like a true Russian.
Imagine was absolutely the best! Good voice too Dave; I'm impressed.

Thanks, Karola, thanks too to Kylie and Eugene. I'll be doing some more of that
character, and I also have an American character which I'll be adding in the
next few days, and all feedback will be much appreciated.

Will your American character have a Texan accent by any chance?

I doubt I can do authentic Texan, but at least I'll trah.

This is awesome, Dave. I had a good chuckle. My son was watching it with me and
he said he thought you sounded like one of those Russian criminals in "From
Russia with Love" (the 007 movie with Sean Connery, if you remember). Your
Russian accent is absolutely spot on! Also, your lip curves upwards with the
word "dreeeeaaamer"- it kinda shakes and vibrates like Elvis's. That's
hilarious! Hooliganov is truly ripping into it with a whole lotta emotional
intensity! I can definitely feel it in every note (...any crystal at home?)

      Hooliganov...you are the man!

      smile I love it, Dave.

My parents gave me a logitech webcam for my birthday last week, and this is
what I've been doing with it. The earlier stuff by me is with a Fuji Finepix.

Dave, I have a feeling you could do the German accent quite nicely. Would you
give it a try? I think you would be really good at it!

          Other suggestions:

          a drunk
          British aristocracy
          English with French accent.

OK, I'll resurrect my old Usenet persona "Sproey von Weitzentrenner" and turn
            him into a video turn.

I wouldn't know how to do that.

            > British aristocracy

OK, I even have one of them. I'd like to do an impersonation of an aristocrat
who degenerates into a chimp during each of his appearances, all the while
taking umbrage at charges of "inbreeding" in the European aristocracy.

            > English with French accent.

I have to call that character "Pierre de Launey"

              Dave,

Before Gary went to work, I decided to play "youtube" with Mr.Hooliganov for
him. He really liked it smilesmile- especially the Lenin song! He thinks you are
pretty good. I know none of us could ever do this! I think the fact that you
are so good at this has a lot to do with you having a really ear for both
              foreign languages and music.

Your American is not too shabby either, you know!

That's definitely a gift from up high!!

Thanks, Kylie. I was particularly pleased to hear that my American wasn't too

            Heh heh heh.

I don't suppose "Bohemian Rhapsody" will be on it, will it?

I might give that one a twirl in the future.

'Mama, just killed a man. Can't get his song outta my head'

No, its not on my 10 all-time, but I do love it. I remember when it first came
out (1975), accompanied by that incredible (at the time) video. Sheer Queen!

I saw them at Live Aid (yes, I was one of the lucky ones to get a ticket) - one
of, if not the, greatest live shows ever (Queen that is, as well as the Live Aid
              concert as a whole).

                  Super, again.

What about Elvis? I'm sure that In The Ghetto could do with a better version
                  than the last re-mix.

Yeah. I'll do some Elvis. My next character I'm already working on, and if I
get some peace and quiet when the kids have gone to bed, I might do something
with him. He's based on a friend of mine from University who claimed to be
Polish when he had a broad Newcastle accent. I might get him singing Elvis in
                    Geordie.

I spend more time on it than I should. But I think people do tend to make time
for what they enjoy, and I did have a bit of holiday recently.

It all depends on what you can do and what interests you, and also on what your
technical gadgets are and how well you can squeeze something out of them.

You could do a nature report down there or sing some American song, or
            something.

Have you ever seen the movie Ishtar with Warren Beatty and Dustin Hoffman? It
was one of the greatest Hollywood distasters of the eighties. By virtue of
being so bad, it was one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen! The best: their
pathetic performances in a shady Tangiers hotel and an attempt to buy a camel,
which in the end turned out to be blind.

I don’t know why, but it just came to mind…. It certainly is a mine of

Not yet, but I will heed your advice and rent it. I really enjoyed Hoffman in
the classic film "Midnight Cowboy". That films presents such an array of
contrasts (like Siemiechów and New York City), although not considered to be a
comedy. One film which had me bursting at the seems is another classic, "The
Owl and a Pussycat" with Barbara Streisand. Pure humor. An oldie but a goodie.

That often happens with hollywood films. Some are considered to be flops by the
elite critics when in reality they have a cult following and are enjoyable.
