It went on like that for five minutes till around thirty people stormed the
street, screaming 'Nasrallah lil moot' (Nasrallah to death), pulling out
dumpsters and blocking up the roads. Then a what I assume to be at least good
hundred people stormed the highway, breaking anything they could find, hitting
cars and unplanting street signs, then dragging them into the highway.
Its subsided now, but thirty minutes later, the tires are still on the street
burning... the police were powerless and the fire trucks still haven't
responded...
Apparently the instigator of the event was a telivised program denouncing the
Hizbollah religous leader... we can't see anything anymore but the sounds of
screaming transverse the buildings....
Even as a write this, more people storm the highway again, and parts of the
city loose electricity... The police are still powerless to respond.. merely
diverting traffic away.
