delivered baby

sounds not as nice as 'give born',
for me, first 'delivered' was connected to 'a letter' ...
and it is still strange when it comes to 'delivered baby'.
Do u know from where is this form?
Maybe any other form, nicer one???

It's to give birth, not "give born," and deliver a baby, not "deliver baby."

deliver means (among other things) (1) : to assist in giving birth (2) : to aid
in the birth of b : to give birth to c : to cause (oneself) to produce as if by
          giving birth
