A matchbox riddle

14.09.04, 10:44
Somthing nice to start a new day with =) I've just bought a box of matches
with a riddle on it:#
Chris was born and raised in New Zealand. Two days before his 21st birthday
he heard he'd been left a fortune by his uncle if he reached 21 before his
grother George married: at ther same time he recieved a letter from George
saying he was getting married in Australia the following afternoon. How could
Chris claim his inheritance?
What I suggest he should do, is simply to cross the date line and spend the
day of his birthday on a nice Island of Pacific, but I'm not sure about it.
Any other clues?
Kisses from Douvre =)

Bingo! And thus he will celebrate his birthday the day before his brother marries.
A friend of mine missed her birthday on a plane from Canada to Australia.

he must have been disappointed, the poor thing... A friend of mine misses three
fourth of his birthdays. Any clue, why?

I miss my birthday each year, and I don't care. I'm only getting older, nothing
            to celebrate for. Another wrinkle?

I thought that everything to the left of the date line one day ahead of
      everything to the right...
      :)

I thought that everything to the left of the Date Line is one day ahead of
everything to the right... So if he crossed the line then he would have to wait
one extra day for his B'day... - I may be wrong, however.
