Ale gdzież, to są przecież gieroje, partyzanci prowadzący heroiczną walkę z
      amerykańskim okupantem...
      Tfu!

For the hostage takers/terrorists/murderers/their own life means nothing to
them so how can they care about anybody else's? They have no concept of life
and deserve to be blown up into pieces... they are an absolute incarnation of
      evil!

Well, is there any difference if one is killed with a knife or blasted to
pieces by means of a remote controlled rocket?
Killing is a barbaric and this applies to all of us.

Oh, I think there is. If I were to go, being blown up into pieces would be a
far better choice for me than having Mr.Abu Musab al-Zarqawi go at my neck
crudely, slowly and with dull blades.

Blasting the terrorists to pieces is a kind and merciful way of letting them
go. Would I like to sit in a cage chained up for 3 weeks knowing that my head
will be eventually cut off and held up high before the camera for the whole
          world to see?

          No, thank you.

Would you like to sit on a death row for months or years knowing that one day
they will kill you? It is all relative I am afraid, but still barbaric.
It seems that as long as it is "them" we, civilised world, have no doubts. The
moment it is "us" we loose our temper and stiff upper lip.

            Regards

Of course, nobody wants to be on a death row and the state-sanctioned murders
in US (or anywhere else) is another topic for discussion. Relative...yes,
because either way ( gas, electric chair, lethal injection or a dull sword) you
know what's at the end for you. It's a huge topic and since you've mentioned
it, I have never ever been in favor of capital punishment myself.I can't even
begin to imagine how it feels to be on a death row. How do you anesthetize
yourself to your life's miserable existence, how do you put one foot in front
of the other without feeling more isolation and pain with every passing day?
You are right about all that BUT....
have you been given a choice...a very grim choice... between weeks, months or
years (more likely years after all the appeals are exhausted) before being
injected with potassium chloride or having your head slowly chopped off, what
would you choose? Even if it was a firing squad or an electric chair, would you
still opt for having your head cut off slowly with a blunt object?

                correction: it's death row...not a death row :)
