Poland standing in World's opinion

15.07.05, 09:07
Right after the London bombings (somber occasion), many western tv-stations
and press were speculating about terrorist's next target; Italy or Denmark
being the next "largest" US alies in Iraq are potential targets, everybody
concluded...
This would be truth if one conclude that single danish solidier is same as
five polish soldiers (serving in Iraq).
It just gets me how on earth can you be so ignorant, and not give Poland
credit when it's due, whatever your opinion on the subject. Poland seems to
benefit in this case, even Osama Bin Laden confused Poland with Norway, when
asking this followers to fight US Allies in Iraq.
Let me paraphrase popular american saying: "You would not know Poland if it
hit you on the face". You would have hard time persuading F.Chopin and Maria
Curie themselves that they were actually French....

So what's your point, Waldek? You want to educate Osama so he has a better idea
where to strike next? If he doesn't know where Pland is on the map, all the
better. The last thing Poland needs is a terrorist attack.

      >and not give Poland credit when it's due

      credit for what, Waldek?

      :)
      • waldek1610 Credit for what? ha ha 15.07.05, 10:02
Unknowingly, you just proved my point Kylie; "credit for what"....
First, I did admit in this case Poland is better of ignored by terrorists.
Secondly, you might disagree with Polands involvment in Iraq, but why would you
pretend Poland is not there. Actually it is very simple; You just don't want to
let Poland be seen as an important player on World Stage.
Kylie I suspect you are from British Isles, I might be mistaken, UK is said not
to be happy with Poland being so pro-american, this undermines UK image as the
only real European friend of USA.

Waldek, now you're just being incoherent...
          • waldek1610 Re: Credit for what? ha ha 15.07.05, 10:39
Please enlight me, what in my previous post seems incoherent to you? I would
love to find out; in case you imply my English in less than
understandalble, please excause me for that, I don't claim to be English expert.
I'm guessing it's just polish love or objecting evrything and everybody, so you
have some money it doesn't nesessery makes you right.

            • kylie1 Re: Credit for what? ha ha 15.07.05, 19:24
Waldek, your English doesn't bother me but I still don't know what your point
is here. What do you want to tell us exactly? You sound really flaky.
              • waldek1610 Danmark is not better than Poland 16.07.05, 08:32
Here it is Kylie; what I want you to do is, if you're a journalist or tv anchor
do the research, and don't say "Danmark might be attacked next because it has
biggers force in Iraq after UK and Italy", because this is simply not truth.
Poland has largest force after those, and its at least 3 times as many
                solidiers as Danmark.
                Be objective, please.
                • kylie1 Re: Danmark is not better than Poland 16.07.05, 08:44
if you're a journalist or tv anchor...

                  I am not, Waldek.

                  > do the research...
Why? You do it. You brought it all up, not me.

                  >and don't say

                  I didn't say anything, Waldek!

                  >because this is simply not truth.

OK,no sweat... so what's the big deal here?

                  >Be objective, please.

OK, but I didn't say anything, neither did I raise a question about anything. I
am trying to figure out what's making you rattle. The fact that we have more
troops in Iraq than Denmark? OK...so......
                  :)

                  • waldek1610 Re: Danmark is not better than Poland 16.07.05, 09:18
I replied to your question; "what you want us to do"...
Duh, Kylie you are not journalist. I used words " if, you are
journalist"...which might as well be plural.
                    • jan.kulczyk Re: Danmark is not better than Poland 16.07.05, 09:29
Kylie, trolls are wonderfully furry and cuddly animals, but please don't ever ever under any circumstances give them any food. For thought or otherwise. Because ultimately they will get bloated, expand, and take over this board. And we have enough silliness as it is.
                      • waldek1610 smart or the smart ..s ? 16.07.05, 10:47
I was right then, Jan Kulczyk might by a rich man, but I would not acussed him
of knowing such as sublime words as; bloated, cuddly and trolls, no not in the
vocabulary of a Pole living in Poland.....
Why would you take some bilionare's identity, don't you have enough eslf pride?
Secondly, your selfcomplimenting eloquence of the Chinesse zen master who think
he is wise and loves to listen to his own words. To make it clear you did not
                        make an impression on me.
                      • kylie1 Re: Danmark is not better than Poland 16.07.05, 21:15
                        agree, JK! :)

Here ia a forum about Poland:

thanks for trying Ekoradio, but your webside doesn't interest me. I'm not
interested when others are going to Poland and what to pack when going there.
I'm more interested about geo-politics and culture.
