BOEING GIVES DETAILS ON NEW ORDERS
Feb 20, 2007 04:30 AM
Seattle–Boeing Co. says Air New Zealand has ordered four new fuel-efficient
787 jets.
The order would be worth about $700 million (U.S.) at list prices, although
airlines typically negotiate significant discounts.
Boeing is scheduled to deliver the four 787-9 airplanes between 2011 and
2013, the company said yesterday.
Boeing had previously recorded the orders but had not attributed them to a
particular customer. In December, the airline announced it planned to place
an order.

Boeing said 37 customers have placed 468 orders and commitments for the 787,
which is scheduled to enter service in mid-2008.
