Strike on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 October
      at Brussels South Charleroi Airport

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      26/10/2005

      Charleroi, 26 October 2005

      PRESS RELEASE
Strike on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 October
      at Brussels South Charleroi Airport

The management of BSCA strongly deplores the fact that strike action will once
again bring operations at the airport to a halt.

      On Friday 7 October (24hrs) and Monday 24 October (4:30hrs to 10:00hrs),
strikers from the Christian and Socialist trade union blocked access to the
airport for both BSCA personnel and passengers with the result that the airport
      was forced to shut down.

On Friday 28 October, it is going to happen again! Civil servants of the
Walloon Ministry of Transport plan to stop work. Given that safety can no
longer be assured, Brussels South Charleroi Airport will once more have to give
in to a minority of workers at the airport.

Strike action will also be undertaken by officials of the Walloon Ministry of
Transport on Thursday 27 October between 5:00 hrs and 8:00 hrs. The morning
flights to Bergamo and Gerona will be cancelled but other flights during the
day will continue. The trade unions at the Ministry are insisting that safety
tasks be exclusively performed by Walloon Ministry officials, whilst in
practice certain tasks are delegated to private sub-contractors.

The situation is particularly distressing as the majority of our personnel want
to work. Indeed, during the national strike on 7 October and the regional
strike of 24 October, more than 70% of our personnel indicated their intention
      to work.

As a service company, BSCA can in no way accept the recurrent nature of trade
union action which directly victimises its passengers and its airline
companies. Such situations seriously endanger the credibility of the airport.
Thousands of customers will be left to their own devices just before the All
Saints holiday break. A disappointed customer is often lost for ever and can
only be persuaded to return with great effort. For service companies such as
BSCA and the airline companies, each day of strike action incurs enormous,
      irreparable and disproportionate costs.

To help cope with the announced disruption as best as possible, the airport has
set up an emergency telephone number to enable passengers to obtain useful
information about their flights. This number is as follows:

      00.32.71.91.96.66.
The number will be in operation from Wednesday 19:00 hrs to 22:00hrs, Thursday
from 6:00hrs to 22:00hrs and Friday from 6:00hrs.

The call centres of the airline companies can also be contacted:

      · Ryanair : 0902.88.007 (French) – 0902.88.009 (Dutch)
      · Wizz Air : 070 / 707 966

The management of BSCA apologies to airport customers for any possible
inconvenience. We will be doing everything to rebuild your confidence.
