The European Commission Photo Club Programme of the activities of the Photo-Club: September 2007- February 2008: fr Staff Registration Form - 4th quarter 2007 (fr) Trainees Registration Form – 2007/2008 (fr) No matter what your favourite subject or equipment you use, be it medium format or compact camera, film or digital, if you enjoy taking or looking at pictures or just seek to become more proficient, you will find something to interest you at the Commission Photo Club. We offer you the opportunity to meet others who share your passion in photography and to practice a variety of hands-on activities: outdoor photo-shoots; studio shootings: the Club has a well-equipped studio group; darkroom sessions: we are equipped of a B&W and colour darkroom. In addition to the weekly meetings, the darkroom is accessible to the members for their personal work; digital photography: a sample camera, a computer and a beamer are at the disposal of members for their work and the creation of presentations; creation of audio-visual slides shows. Dia-projectors and sound system are available. The Club meets every Tuesday at 18:30 at the Commission Foyer - 1st floor - VM2 building - 2, rue Van Maerlant in Brussels. We have a full and varied programme throughout the year according to the wishes of the members. A weekly newsletter, informing on planned activities and covering a wide-range of photographic issues, is sent to members by e-mail. The meetings are also the occasion to appreciate the photographic creations of members, to discuss photography and to plan joint projects. An introductory course to photography is organized every year. This short session enables beginners to rapidly get to the heart of the subject and to take photos using basic practical concepts. Other activities can be organized on request: visits to exhibitions, course sessions, etc. The club is equipped with a wide range of equipment: film medium format and digital cameras, film and dia scanner, dia-projector, studio group, photo reproduction unit, frames for exposures, etc. Members can borrow the equipment for their personal work. A library of photographic books and magazines is also at the disposal of members. The annual contribution, which includes the use of the club facilities, the participation to all its activities and the darkroom photochemistry (except papers and photochemistry for colour development), is currently 50 euros.
