For our Client, a highly successful international exclusive furniture
producer we are looking for a candidate for the position of:
WAREHOUSE MANAGER
(place of working - Warsaw)
He /she will report directly to the General Manager
Role Purpose:
This position is responsible for comprehensive warehouse functions to
include inbound/outbound processing, unpacking, shelving of parts, data
entry into computerized inventory control system, and inventory control as
well as planning and managing work of 11 people team.
Service and operational standards are already set, but the candidate will be
expected to bring new ideas and processes to the table. Supported by the
management team, the candidate will work on strategies that will help the
warehouse meet its targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- planning logistic processes (deliveries and dispatches)
- claims service
- allocating space for storing goods
- keeping track of stock levels using computer systems and ensuring correct
storage of stock
- planning work schedules for warehouse operatives and supervisors
- supervising, and assisting as necessary, in the loading and un-loading of
vehicles
- assisting in the preparation of work schedules.
- liaising with and assisting other departments when required
- leading a team of 11 people
- checking of loads for correct quality and quantity
- working closely with other departments
- making sure that there is enough of each item in stock
- ensuring the items are stored safely and securely
- managing staff schedules and deadlines
- performing audits and stock checking
- administration of Navision (in 6 - 8 months)
Key Competences:
- college degree preferred but not required
- fluency in English
- very good IT skills, knowledge of Navision will be a big advantage
- knowledge of stock economy rules
- mature, level-headed, and be able to work under pressure and meet
deadlines
- be able to make decisions and react quickly when problems arise
- have leadership skills and be good at team work
- good planning, implementing and evaluating skills
- at least 2 > 3 years warehouse supervisory and 1 year management
experience
- superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential
- time-flexibility
