Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The British carrier may build a base in Poland. It also considers new airports but does not like the fuel prices.
EasyJet, the British low-cost carrier, follows the suit of Ryanair and considers locating its base in Poland.
“Decision concerning further bases will be made till June. Poland is one of the possible sites”, John Kohlsaat, EasyJet director foe Germany, Denmark and Easter Europe said.
He added that the company is looking for a big airport where it could be the leading carrier.
The British airline offers flies to Warsaw and Krakow but is thinking about new ports.
“We are interested in Gdansk or Poznan”, John Kohlsaat said.
The carrier wants to increase the number of passengers transported to Poland in 2006 by 15 percent to 480,000 people. It offers routes to the UK and Germany.
