Dear friends and colleagues,

For the last several months, we've been meeting with geophysicists from
Berkeley and Stanford, discussing the layers of the Earth and how modern
scientists explore them. Now we are ready to show you what we have done with
all of this new information. Juxtaposing Earth pounding ritual with modern
dance movement and geophysical data, join us for Digging in the Dark, a work
in progress that taps into unseen layers and forces that shape our planet and
our futures.

You are invited to a be a part of our creative process in a forum called the
Beta Test. At the Beta Test for o! ur newest show, Digging in the Dark, we
will share our most vulnerable, fresh and exciting performance ideas followed
by an open discussion in which you help shape the vision of this new show.
Like the Capacitor Lab, the Beta Test is a tool that we use to find out what
surprises, stimulates and provokes thought. We will take your valuable
feedback into our second phase of development towards a San Francisco
premiere in spring 2004.

Our mission with this show, as with all of our shows, is simple: to serve our
community by cooking up a mind expanding experience. This special weekend of
performances is also a benefit for the Alice Arts Theater, so please come out
and support this historic venue.

Later this fall, Capacitor will be taking flight, bringing Within Outer
Spaces to Kentucky, Maine and New York. In the spring we tour to Virginia,
North Carolina, Illinois, and Colorado. If you have friends or family in
these locations who might want to see us, send them to the 'shows' page on
our website for details. To make this tour happen, we also need lots of plane
tickets...If you have some frequent flyer miles that you don't need, please
