xp / 7 starter na netbooku

Mam dylemat następujący.
Do wyboru w uproszczeniu dwa netbooki:
Pierwszy o lepszych parametrach (procesor, dysk), za to z windows starterem:
asus eee 1005PE n450 2GB ram, dysk 250 GB

Drugi ze starszym procesorem, mniejszym dyskiem, za to na XP home.

asus eee 1001 HA N270 2GB , dysk 160 GB

Co byście wybrali?

Co do Startera7, nikt nie umie mi powiedzieć na 100%:

- czy usunięto ograniczenie jednoczesnego otwarcia 3 aplikacji (i czy przez
"aplikację" należy rozumieć też np antywirus)

- czy obsłuży DVD (z zewnętrznego dysku of course)

- czy obsłuży zewnętrzny monitor /projektor

Będę niesłychanie wdzięczna za sugestie, zwłaszcza realnych użytkowników
Startera, bo nie znam ani jednego - wszyscy gdybają, a sprzedawcy...
oczywiście zachwalają:-))

Dzięki, znam te opisy, ale chodzi mi raczej o rzeczywistość, niż teorię...
Czy jest tu może ktoś, kto widział "7" Startera w działaniu? Albo wie, czy
procesor 450 jest rzeczywiście na tyle lepszy od 270/280, żeby warto było
ryzykować mniej użyteczny system operacyjny?
Ew. inne sugestie?
