1. Details of the role:
Employer: 1st Contact
Position: Web Designer/Developer with print skills
Location: New Oxford Street
Start Date: Immediate
Reporting into: Brand Manager
2. Salary Details:
Band X
3. Skills:
HTML;
CSS;
Dreamweaver, Homesite (non-wysiwyg editor);
Advanced Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & QuarkXpress;
Adobe Acrobat/Distiller;
Good understanding of interface design and usability;
Both PC and Mac literate;
Experience of web development and content management using Dreamweaver (or
similar web development package);
Understanding of international accessibility requirements - W3C;
Some photography skills required (digital image manipulation);
Excellent web & print design skills;
Fluent (written & spoken) in English & Polish;
Experience of working on large, dynamic corporate websites;
Over 3 years experience in design for all print and ad campaign requirements
3. Roles and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
Assist with the day to day maintenance and updating of the company’s website,
including:
Creating new web pages and making amendments to current web pages (in
English, Polish and Afrikaans);
Sourcing suitable images for use on web pages consistent with the company’s
brand;
Working with a Content Management System
Assist with the day to day maintenance and updating of the company’s Intranet;
Working closely with the firm’s IT teams to resolve any technical and support
issues that may arise;
Preparing monthly online E-newsletters;
Preparing monthly visitor statistic report;
Design and build HTML emails;
Design external/internal banners and buttons for promotions;
Design and prepare all printed materials and ad campaigns for Polish market;
Design ad hoc print requirements for other markets, when the need arises;
Ensure that all web and print graphics adhere to brand guidelines
